I stumbled across this site when doing a search for sulfate-free shampoos and silicone free conditioners. It is really a great site, so I thought I would pass it along for you all to check out:

After reading several of the articles, I have decided to be less militant about going sulfate and silicone free, as these ingredients have a purpose and since I gave them up, my hair looks like crap!!!!!

Even if they DID damage my hair, I would rather have "unhealthy" hair that looks great than healthy hair that looks like....crap!

NO problem. I thought others would appreciate this info. I like the fact that these are scientifically based answers, a lot like a "Paula Begoun" approach, trying to get women to see all the hype out there!

i hear you, cass! i did give up my cone hair gel (i must admit it was making my hair shed like crazy), but not my hg conditioner with dimethicone! sometimes a girl's just got to do what a girl's got to do! lmao~
