2) Do not wax if you are using Retin-A or a generic version. You must stop taking Retin-A two weeks prior to waxing.

3) Do not wax if you are using Accutane or a generic version. You must stop using Accutane for 6 months before waxing.

4) If your brow hair is dense, have the brow specialist steam or place warm compresses over the area first. This will open the pores and eases the removal of hair.

5) If you're a diabetic or asthmatic, let your waxing specialist know. Actually people with diabetes or asthma should not be waxed because a) diabetics are know having poor healing capabilities; and B) for an asthmatic, waxing can cause an asthma attack.

Instead of waxing, diabetics and asthmatics can be sugared. It's a similar technique to waxing.

Just some tips from your friendly neighborhood waxer.

OH my god... you rock! Thank you so much for the tips.

i just got mine waxed like last week. it's not very painful. i just wear mascara when i go usually and maybe some eyeliner. you will most likely love the results. it's amazing what brows can do for your face! it enchances your eye shape, as well as your bone structure. i've never had mine tinted though, so i can't really comment there. it will be slightly red and irritated afterwards and if that really bothers you, moisturizer can be soothing.

I used to get mine waxed, but I had an allergic reaction so I had to stop.

But I never wore any eye makeup, because pain brought tears to my eyes. It's not that painfull, but I'm very sensitive. Good luck !!

i would ask the place where u are going to get your brows done what u should do to prepare for the waxing

good luck, Mari!!! I am so excited to see pics. I never had my brows waxed, I don´t think I have enough hair for that.

Leza you gave some awesome advice btw, I don´t know much about waxing but you sound like a real waxing pro!!!

have fun and good luck. && if you end up hating waxing you can also try threading. they remove your unwanted hair w/ a thread. there's discomfort but it didnt hurt as much as the waxing for me

i agree with everyone--it really doesn't hurt that much, just take a tylenol or something and you should be fine =)

Take some Advil 2 hours prior to your appointment. It will cut down on the redness and swelling.

I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed with the result! Your brows will be perfectly arched. Nothing makes eyes look sexier than a great arched brow.
