hello ladies....

my skin is finally clearing up from past acne...all those dark blemishes and marks are fading! yay!....but now i'm noticing that some of my acne has left behind mild dents in some areas. they arent bad,,like small pox marks or anything...but bad enough for me to notice and HATE them...so i was wondering if u ladies have any reccomendations on products that would help these dents go away. like face scrubs, washes...etc. nothing too TOO pricey please!!!

thanks all!

I think microdermabrasion might help, but I don't know. I haven't actually tried it myself yet, but as soon as I have some money I really want to try Goldport Beauty's Epidermx - I think it's $23 for a 1oz tub.

We have a product called Intellegence thermal fusion masque that I like that works like a microdermalbrasion/chemical peel without the harsh chemicals. It also cleans pore, evens skin tone, and firms.

Great stuff,

I don't know any solution to the problem you have, but I just wanted to know what you did that your skin cleared up? I am also having horrible acne breakout now..

They disappear with time, but it might take a long time, so you can try a peel...

i've been using a combination of lactic acid mini peels and a microdermabrasion scrub weekly. the combination seems to be smoothing out my complexion quite well. my pores are still alittle larger than i'd like, but i do see good improvement. i've been using these products for about 3 months and although i wanted to see progress much sooner, i'm quite happy with the result.

I am having success using a combination of Silkia camellia oil and Epidermx (maybe Green Cream also. I use it 2 or 3 times a week). I use the oil everyday and Epidermx once a week. I have those dents and they are plumped up quite a bit now. I have been using this regimen since March and am very happy with the results thus far. Scars, fine lines, skin tone and texture all look so much better.

Try peeling or microdermabrasion.

The only way to fix scars is to be very aggressive with them. Unless you just want to slightly "soften" the appearance of them, then you're going to be very dissapointed with any of the above suggestions. As that is all they will do.

Check out acne.org's scar forums.

Anyone know what kind of a laser treatment would be needed to get rid of the craters? LOL. I have them too.

I don't suggest lasers shasta, except maybe fraxel laser. Any other lasers are very invasive, and not safe unless you have very pale skin. As there are high risks of hyperpigmentation problems.

http://fraxel.com/

Visit that website. Fraxel is what i'm saving up for to do once I finish accutane. A lot of people on acne.org have been getting it done, and posting satisfactory results.

Wow...Thank you for the website. Those are some pretty amazing before and afters. Any idea what this procedure costs?

The price varies due to doctor, location, etc. If you want to find doctors, go to their locate a doctor section on the fraxel website, and start calling around. The cheapest price i've seen so far was in Carmel, Indiana. I live in Texas though, so that's out of the question for me.

I really like Avene Diacneal & Olay Microdermabrasion/Peel Kit
