i don't know how i feel about this because i've always heard that your diet doesn't effect ur skin, but it makes sense that eating healthier would promote healthier skin..

i never thought the two were linked, but i don't eat much fried foods anyway. i think it's more a problem of regulation. if you eat healthy (meaning a bit of everything), it's sure best for your skin because it will have all the nutrients and vitamins it needs.

Well, I am sure a lot of this is true - although I can't give up my fried food altogether. I have definitely cut back (except for this week - Wendy's one day, McDonalds the next - hee hee). I actually did give up coffee for many months - when I was on my green tea kick. I still have my green tea pretty much every day, but I also have the coffee too. I can't help it - I just love my Dunkin Donuts!

I don't eat much fried food, but sugar definitely affects my skin. It makes sense to me that your skin can only be as healthy as the rest of your body (and mind... stress makes me break out real bad).

This is all alternative medicine...did the article provide any sources or studies to back up these claims, because i love fatty foods and I don't get any acne. I probably am an extremely unhealthy eater, but my skin is in pretty fine shape if i do say so myself. And eMedicine journal cited a study that completely disproved this entire article; i am more inclined to trust their statements, i guess.

thanks for the posty though!

thanks i thought it was food that made acne worse but i've read other articles that say its not that could just b so u wud buy more of the acne treatments

There is definitely something to be said for trying to eat healthier. I just think that different people have different sensitivities. I break out more when I've been eating too much sugar and not drinking enough water. I know someone who hardly ever breaks out no matter what they eat.

i truly believe you are what you eat! someone posted that skin is one of the largest organ of the body.. meaning the skin will have energy from what you eat.

if you eat fired food, your skin will eat the fat, oil.

my BF's family like to eat alot of fat and sweets. i personaly think that's nasty. anyway, non of his family have good skin, tons of acne enlarged pores, uneven skin texture!!

but my family who like to eat veggies and fruits, we have pretty good skin condition.

Anyway, eatting right NEVER EVER Bad for you!!!

It can even prevent the big C!!!

And, we all want the skin have good vitamins, so we put vit C and E to have good skin, Why not putting those good vitamins inside of skin buy eatting it!! Putting on skin alone wont do much!!

Its My favorite subject!! hahaha

I stopped eating fast food completely well over a year ago.. and stopped drinking pop for over 2 years now. At first, it was very difficult.. I couldn't be without my beloved taco johns tacos and Mcdonalds fries. Now, I learned to hate them.. if I even smell those foods, just knowing all that grease thats in them makes me want to throw up. Though my skin isn't clear of acne since stopping, my inner and outer self has been so much healthier... and I think I stopped getting so much under the skin zits.
