Is there any other scrub people swear by?

Hi -castle queen here! I bought "Origins Modern Friction" in Dec. It is pricey(45$ Canadian), must be kept away from eye (stings!!) and is a 'nice' scrub. But, price & quality-wise, "St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub" ($3.49 Canadian!!) cannot be beat!! Results-wise, it does the same as "Modern Friction" (which I bought having read so many great reviews in mags!!)They also have one for "Blemish Prone skin"- it too is great. I get that one for my teenagers. So, there is my 2 cents worth!

Have a great day everyone! castle queen

i use Epidermx and really like it...you can use it as scrub or microdermabrasion,i just use it once a week for MDB,then i'm also doing a 30%GA peel once a week too...

My faves:

The Body Shop facial brush

LUSH Angels on Bare Skin, & Ocean Salt (before using, I rub this between my hands until it gets less coarse)

Benefit "Honey... Snap Out of It" scrub

Oatmeal 'n Honey Facial Scrub (very gentle, the texture is much like fine sand)

Crushed Aspirin & Water

So far, the best exfoliant I found is Orlane's Oligo Vitalizing Scrub. It works for very sensitive skin. No irritation. Only wonderfully smooth skin.

Hi,

I am new to MUT.I love Origins Modern Friction. The facial polish by Bliss is very good too. I alternate between these.

Hi! When I bought my L'ACRIMA skin care system from the Shopping Channel, the makeup artist (the one from Style By Jury) was saying that no one should use any scrub with particles in it as it leaves tiny tears all over your skin that have to be repaired. Over time this is quite damaging to your skin. It's best to use some sort of facial wash that has exfoliant properties (AHAs, for example) in it or use the glycolic peels, if you wish deeper exfoliation.

Thought I should pass this on, I believe the more careful we are with our skin from a young age, the better it will be when we are older.

just wanted to point out that tho baking soda has a gentle *texture*, it is not very good for skin. i forget all the reasons, but one is that it is very alkaline, so be sure to use a low pH toner or other product afterwards.

also, st. ives should only be used on EXTREEEEEMELY resistant skin. the granules cause little "micro-tears" in skin. they are not harsh in the same way that aluminum oxide (aka alumina--in many "microdermabrasion" scrubs), where some people get irritated and some don't. this may not irritate you but it damages your skin.

I use Natural Sea Beauty Scrub from CCB with a scrub brush. It makes my skin soft and doesnt dehydrate it like others do on my sensitive oily skin

The facial brush I have is from Shiseido. I think Dermalogica makes one, too.

My favorite scrub is a two-part treatment from philosophy: the microdelivery peel. I only use it once every two weeks, because my skin is sensitive-ish. I use Prescriptives All You Need moisturizer (w/o sunscreen) at night under my moisturizer to blast away unevenness most of the time, though.

St Ives doesn't work for me, either, and I had an allergic reaction to Dermalogica's daily microfoliant.

I like St. Ives apricot scrub. They also have it in a sensitive, not as harsh formula. If you dont like that try Clinique's 7 day scrub. I really like that one as well. It is not a harsh as the St. Ives but really works. My skin felt very smooth after using it.

I use St.Ive's Apricot Scrub. It works wonders and it leaves my skin super fresh and smooth.

I've always liked St. Ives Apricot Scrub. They have SO many different versions of it now too!
