i have a problem with my lips! everytime i put on a lipstick or lip gloss etc, after 1 hour my lips become dry and make a dry line to the one lip. i 've bought vaseline with menta for dry lips, classic vaseline, a peeling for lips and the problem didn't stopped!when i'm out for 3 hours i must go to the toilet soooo many times to refresh them!can anyone help me and give me some tips or suggest me any cosmetic about my occasion!!??!?!!
that would be sooo great!
thanks

I am sorry to hear this..

I have very dry lips too.. Even when i use Moisturized lipstick.. its still dry..

So I gave up lipsticks or any lip products..

i only use lip liner for the color and vaseline. Draw the line with the lip liner and use lip brush or a finger tip to smooth out the vaseline

it works well

Drink more water!! My mom is a nurse and told me this trick a long time ago. Chapped lips are a sign of dehydration. Greasy lipsticks and glosses will only treat lips topically.. trust me..

Kiehl's Lip Balm SPF 15, Burt's Bees lip balm, and Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer (SPF 15) are 3 things which have really helped with my dry lip problem. I put on any one of these 3 before applying my lipstick, then wait for 10 minutes, and apply a moisturizing lipstick(no lip liner, find it only adds to the problem) with an SPF(currently my SPF l/s is from Clinique, but many, many brands, both drugstore and dept. store, now have them.) After that, I add whatever kind of gloss I want to, which I continue to reapply throughout the day,if I'm out.(I like Avon Glazewear l/g a lot, and also Bobbi Brown and Lancome Juicy Tubes, as I find them to be moisturizing, whereas some are actually fairly drying. Also, Vaseline seemed to make my lips both more oily and drier--which meant the l/s color came off quicker and the skin on my lips dried up fasted, so I don't use it anymore...) Finally, at night I always put on a Vitamin E capsule over my lips, rub it in, and then add a lip balm over that--a friend of mine who works for a dermatologist taught me about the Vitamin E, and my lips have been a lot less dry ever since I started doing it, so I decided to keep doing it! Anything that might help...

I'm sure you'll get a lot of great advice here, from other MUT members, so your lips should be in their best shape really soon!

try a lip scrub (use sugar and gently buff the lips with them). then use a heavy chapstick (i use burts bees or carmix).

I was told by my facialist to scrub with a dry toothbrush and then use a balm containing SHEA BUTTER - no vaseline-based product. The shea butter supposedly gets absorbed and moisturizes long-term.

Oh yeah I have that problem all the time too and I hate it. Will start drinking more water too.

ditto for the neutrogena lipbalm, that's one of my favorites.

each time i wanna wear lipstick/lipgloss, i put a heavy coat of lipbalm on my lips, let it be absorbed a few minutes, then i apply my lipgloss or lipstick. this keeps my lips hydrated a bit more.

i also suggest vaseline (always good to have a tube in a drawer) if you have nothing else, but i prefer Nuxe Rêve de miel. this lipbalm is expensive, but you don't need much product so it lasts long, and overnight, your lips are really hydrated. it also resists a mug of tea and the cold winter wind.

i also suggest shea butter, nothing like it to repair dry skin.

of course, make sure you drink enough water (1,5L/day).

for summer, make sure your lipbalm has a sunscreen in it.

a funny tip : one day in the middle of winter i forgot my lipbalm at home which is really rare as i always have one at least in my bag, but this day i had nothing, so i used my neutrogena handcream.

It happens to me too. I drink about 4 glasses a day. At work I drink 2-3 bottles of water all day. The lipglosses tend to stay on and less drying. But if you wear lipstick you will be dried up. I use Chapstick to moisturize. I dont like Vaseline. So far, the best lip balm I tried, was Blistex it stayed on for a while. But even Blistex contains menthol. Have you tried Bath and Body works? They have alot of lip balms.

lol ! and it worked !! just made my lips white, but i didn't care.i liked the white pot from Blistex, but i didn't like the menthol smell, and i prefer sticks to pots.

use vaseline petroleum jelly before you go to bed, it works. or you can also change it with putting some honey on your lips before bed time, works on me!
