As you all know I had to get my hair colored 2 times in a week. Now my hair is breaking off. What would you all suggest to help strengthen my hair? I was looking at Joico K-Pak S&C, Redken Extreme S&C, Anti snap, or Biolage S&C. Do any of those sound like something that would work? If so which one would you all suggest? If not is there something else I should try? TIA!

i really like the Joico Kpak, and it consistently gets good reviews from people with damaged hair that have used it to save their hair, so i would suggest to use it. and follow it up by keeping the ends of your hair moisturized with a good deep conditioner that does NOT have a lot of protein in it (which the Joico Kpak does)....good luck to your hair!

Aphogee protein treatments stopped me from nearly going bald after a similar situation.

All those are really good products, esp Redken, I dont know the history

of your hair, so prob do the treatments 1 a weeks, & leave it on for at

least 30mins

Also depending on the thickness, or how thin. you might need to speak

to a hairdresser to reccomend which treatment for your hair, as some are heavy

My hair is normally Very thick, but the stylist went a little thinning crazy..lol I still have plenty of hair but in the front I can see where there are now little pieces sticking out. How often should I use the S&C for damaged hair? I was thinking daily, but please tell me if that is wrong. I would hate to make it any worse than it already is. I normally wash my hair every day too.

I have used the Redken Anti Snap and it's WONDERFUL!! I bleached my hair like 3 times in one week 6 or 7 years ago and it was like limp spaghetti noodles on my head. This stuff helped a TON! Keep in mind though that it won't reverse the damage-it'll just make it manageable until it grows out! Hope that helps.

kerastasce 5 step repair treatment in the green bottles and a really good hair cut, cause you are going to need to remove a lot of that damage.

Thanks so much! I wish I could get Kerastase, but sadly I live in a small town and can't get it here. Is there anywhere online that you can buy it? I picked me up a bottle of Herbal Essences Break's over...I know most people probably don't like it, but I plan to try it out along with something else...I have to try to figure out what to get. I need something that will help with moisture along with the damage. My hair feels like baby doll hair, I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it has to be damage. Is Tigi Oatmeal & honey good for damage too?

Tigi oatmeal & honey is aweome, & redken anti snap is great also

If your hair is thick you would'nt really need to wash it everyday as your

own natural oil's are the best for the hair, make sure you use a hairdressing

S&C & one of the treatments 1 a week, over the time your hair will

strengthen....& reqular trim's! & if blowdrying you'll prob need a serum or

moisterizer to seal the hair for protection from heat etc...

Goodluck

What is a hairdressing? Is Organix Self heating coconut oil ok? I actually have some of that I picked up but haven't used it yet. When it feels like baby doll hair is that from no moisture of is it because of needing protein, or neither? I've read the breaking off is due to protein.

i bleached my hair about 2 months ago and actually posted on here too coz mine was jelly like! i went n brought the joico kpack and its amazing!! it cost me 24 bux but my hair is so much healthier! its like a porridge consistnecy.. use it twice a week and it will help. i no whav platnium blonde hair. i love that product!

I usually mix olive oil and hair conditioner and put it on damp hair. Then I soak a towel in really hot water and wrap it for a half hour or so.
