Thanks for that! I might try cutting vertically in the future, although I sometimes go a little scissor happy when I cut my own fringe

blech not a fan of the video... what they are doing will work but you are more likely to get splits and you also can get huge chunks missing if you mess up. you will also almost always get a feathered look. and if your hair is allready on the thin side you wouldnt want to do this cause it will just thin it out more.

i get so frustrated with these one size fits all hair tips. i would say definately cut horizontaly and than if you feel you need to thin out your bangs than try this but be very cautious that you dont cut to much

Please tell me where you are finding all the

Long Hair

information. It is something we share a common interest in, it seems.

I cut my own hair... When I do bangs, I make sure my hair is dry, and also in the style I usually wear.

If you cut them when they are wet, you will have a shorter bang when they are dry...

oii, feathery-ish.

i've had so many bangs its not even funny. its like i've had betty bangs, blunt ones,pixie-ish bangs, side swept, and no bangs.

and when i try to cut them myself it ends up in a huge mess with my bangs looking horrible.except the time i did betty bangs it looked pretty rad when i straightened it.

I get a good hair cut maybe twice a year. My hair grows very slowly.

In between cuts, my husband does a great job at cutting my bangs.

I'm not saying you're *not* right, but I have fine hair (a lot of it, but very fine), cut my own bangs every two weeks (again, lots of hair... that grows really fast), and though I switch up style and technique, this works for me.
The first time I decided to do at-home bangs, though, I got my hair genius friend to cut them for me, then followed her line for, like, a year. Then a dude on the train suggested Bettie bangs, and I felt confident enough to cut them myself... too bad they looked awful. But whatever! It's just hair. It grows back.
