hey guys

so i've been growing my hair for a while since i had a bad cut about 6 months or so ago and now i think its time i went for the chop! problem is, my hair is sooo unpredictable. i prefer to wear it natural, not straightened or blow dried, which means it goes like this:

which is alright, but it's sort of..shapeless. it doesn't really do anything at the ends and it stays straight at the top (the curl/wave only really begins around my ear) leaving a mad confusion of volume in the middle. and when i go out in any kind of humidity, it gets very frizzy.

i want to experiment with layers maybe? i've talked to several hair dressers about it and theyve just all basically snipped off the ends and given me a bit of shape at the front. i do not look good with a fringe. i just want something thats a bit more of a style.

sorry for waffley post!! any suggestions?

Your hair is very similar to mine - except I have bangs. My hair is rather flat on top but becomes wavy/curly as it grows, and my hair is a couple of inches shorter than your.

The one things that I have found that works for me is layers and texturizing. The layers start just below my ears, so the bottom 3-4 inches are layered. The additional texturizing at the bottom keeps my hair from looking poufy and triangularish.

Hope I have helped.

thanks! i need to grow it a bit more to get layers into it i think, i want them to be quite long. but if they go ok on your hair they'll probably be alright on mine!
