I have very very straight hair. Every once in a while id like to have a curly looking style w/o having to get a perm (dont want to give up my straight hair). Ive used the curling ion with the spirals... doesnt work too well with my hair. Could someone give me some ideas to get curly hair.. some kind of product to help it curl better with a curling iron? or rollers. thanks

I believe Janelle had mentioned in a previous thread that SexyCurlyHair by Sexy Hair would make the hair curly just by washing and conditioning... I'm not positive on that though! I have thick hair that doesn't hold curl well, so within two hours of curling it, the curl is GONE! Hopefully someone else, especially Janelle, has a better suggestion for you on what to do

Try sponge rollers (wrap end paper around the rollers). You can either use a setting lotion or leave in conditioner. Depending on the size of the roller, your curls will be either tight or loose. Sit under a dryer to speed the drying time or let air dry...as long as you don't roll super tight, you can sleep in the rollers.

That's the way I've always done it!

The curls will loosen overtime. I'm African American and wear this style all summer or when I'm between perms.

What are you trying to dry? Is your hair supposed to be wet or the lotion/leave in conditioner? thanks for the help guys!

CurlySexy will enhance curls, but you generally have to have some natural wave or curl. Clairol Hot Stix rollers are pretty cool... they give loose-to-very tight spirals (depending how you roll it) and will usually last awhile.
