I got some new hair extensions that are synthetic but said on the package like human, you can curl it. It says to spray with water and use curling iron. When I do this it doesn't change to curl at all. Does anyone know how to curl synthetic hair that is like human???? The brand is WAWA. On the package it shows beautiful waves and curls, wonder what I am doing wrong/

hmmm... sorry hun - I'm not too familiar with them. Maybe there is some type of setting spray you can use instead of water?

In my Avatar I am wearing clip-in extensions I made with WaWa hair, and it curls for me beautifully. What worked for me was after I curled it with my ceramic curling iron, I wrapped the hair around a sponge roller and allowed it to cool. If you just roll it around the iron and then release it and let it hang, no curl whatsoever. If you curl, roll and let cool, curls GALORE, and it doesn't take long for the curl to set, because by the time I was done with the last one, the first one was already set. Also this hair curls very well with electric rollers.

I would attach another pic where you can see the curls better, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. If you want to see more pics, PM me and I'll give you the link to my Fotki.

I am so glad you replied. I haven't had a bit of luck. I will certainly try this tomorrow and I will let you know. How did you figure out this would work, did someone else tell you???

Yeah, the ladies in the extensions and weave forums of Hair Talk and Black Hair Media suggested it. On the package it says hold the curl until it cools, however hot hair is HOTTTT hair whether real or synthetic and holding hot hair = burned hands. LOL
