Yeah, vitamin E oil does take a while to show results, but it is inexpensive at the drug store and it makes your skin so soft. I need to get some more soon for myself!

Try local drugstore for Vit E. and Sephora for more high end products like glycolic and microdermabrasion kits.

You gotta put a little retin-A on the spots not too much. Let us know if there are results.

Contractubex ointment. this is what a friend used after she had surgery. doesn't work on very old scars though.

Home Microdermabrasion works wonders on post acne scars, try using Neutrogena Microdermabrasion kit:)

I tried Mederma and i t didnt worked so maybe it depends on the response of your skin. But try using products with Kojic Acid, that's what I'm using right now and it will definitely give u the best result for problems like hyperpigmentation, acne scars, melasma and age spot.

hmm... i've got old acne scars on my face. it's really a bummer. i never knew that vitamin e can lighten scars. i take vitamin e capsules everyday. is that enough? or should i buy vitamin e oil and apply it on my face everyday too? im also think of having a diamond peel soon but at the same time getting a regular purifying facial which promises to lighten my scars. will doing both at the same time too much for my skin? thanks!

cebo de macho, good for both old and new scars but i think its available only in the philippines for less than a dollar.

I don't know if you can get this where you are, but you should fiind it online easily...

Bio Oil !!!!

I have a genetic disease that means my skin doesn't produce enough collagen....cut a long story short this means scarring and bruising easily as well as being prone to eczema and acne. Whack a bit of Bio Oil on the affected areas and it will clear up in no time ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'd say be cautious with what you use on your scars. I had a blemish scar which resulted from a pimple & I used the Neostrata Blemish Spot Gel & guess what It burn the spot where the scar is, so it made it worse:(

^ agree bio oil is the best. not only does it help scars fade but it also help with discoloration and stretch mark too.

Raised scars are generally easier to treat than scars under the surface (eg scne scars)... see your doc or dermatologist to see what the underlying cause is!! Also, scars over a year or so old are hard to shift regardless..

For pimple marks, I use a cleanser with glycolic acid too.

In general, I find that 'whitening' products seem to work well too. The one that I'm using now contains a physical sunblock, so that could be it.

The Vitamin E idea sounds like a great idea, will try that out. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
