My stylist has upped her prices and it is getting too expensive to color and highlight my hair at her salon. My hair is naturally a medium-dark brown. She dyes it slightly darker and then adds sort of a brown sugar color highlight. Well actually it looks a bit on the red side. My highlights are touched up about every two to three months. I do like the color she uses. Anyways a salon closer to my house where I get my nails done also does hair. They are good, from what I see ,and cheaper. I believe around $25.00 cheaper. I am considering just having my hair colored and no highlights. My skin looks orangey in this photo, but actually I have olive/yellow undertones, green eyes. I would like to keep my hair in the brown shade family, low maintenance. Any suggestions or photos I can refer to?Thanks!

My hair now (Don't mind the pic, I brushed my hair more flat) This pic is when the color was fresher, faded slightly now..

Honestly, I think you could pull off just about any mid-tone color. You are lucky! You could lighten up with some golden highlights, or add auburn highlights and go more red. Or dye all of your hair a red shade. I think you should add some chunkier layers (for more body and a piecier effect), and add some shorter layers by your face to frame it, although the seamless look in the picture is good too.

Thanks! Actually my hair is different now compared to that photo. It was sort of dragging so I had some extra cut in along with some face framing ones. I like reddish colors but find that they fade fast.

Thanks Aquilah! I am thinking of doing that. As little as maintenance as possible, lol.
