Color fading...What to do...

I had my hair colored a few weeks ago and it is just starting to fade and the gray at the temples is beginning to return (oh no! not already!). Any suggestions on a shampoo that will make the color last longer? Will it help now or am I done until I get it colored again?

I use Dove Advanced Color Care Shampoo and it works really good for me... my color never fades and I only grey up as my hair grows...

Try and wash it as little as possible, and use color protection shampoo/cond as well as styling products. I used Matrix when my hair was colored and it worked great for me. Depending on the color you have you can also try using color rinses or semi permenant colors in-between salon visits to touch up the color.

Really depends on the color itself. There is no hope for protecting reds, not even in a person that dosent have grey hair.

You can try any line of color protecting products, I dont really believe their hype, but you can give those a shot and as Kaylin said, wash as less as possible, cause no matter what, shampoo is gonna strip it.

I also agree that the more you wash, the quicker the colour will fade.

Thanks to all for your responses. FYI.. my hair is a medium blonde over a gray infested light brown! I will check out the shampoos for color treated hair this week. I will also try not to wash it so often.
