I know we've heard it all before! Alot of people have told us that chocolate causes breakouts! And we've read that there was never really anything that proved that statement, and that no food has ever been proven to actually cause breakouts.

But as of late, I've been eating alot more chocolate than I normally do -- and I've been noticing more breakouts! At first I thought it was ingredients in my MMU, but when I stopped using them, the breakouts didn't stop, all the while I was eating chocolate. Could my dear friend chocolate be cause these horrible breakouts of mine?

Another thing I've heard is that if you drink a cup of hot chocolate every day for a month or so, your skin will get alot clearer! They were talking about it on the radio here. Women taking the study say they really saw an improvement in their complexions after a month! But how can that be? It sounds contradictory especially if chocolate is what's causing me to break out!

Friend! lol.

Well, they say a piece of dark chocolate a day keeps the doctor away

Or something like that! No really, dark chocolate is antioxidant rich.

Oh, and no I don't think I've ever broken out from chocolate.

Friend!

i ate a lot of chocolate while i was pregnant and never broke me out, even before pregnancy and nope, never did either

i'm actually drinking a double chocolate chip frappuccino as i'm typing.. lol

I've never had any extra breakouts due to chocolate.. not that i'm aware of anyways..

My dermatologist said it's a myth....you only break out from chocolate if you're allergic to it. (even mildly)

I hope I'm not allergic. I CAN'T BE! LOL! Maybe my breakout is coming from something else, then.

Well, it may be because I'm worried about getting a job, and all that fun stress that comes with planning a wedding.. and ya know, all that good stuff. x3

my husband & I argue about this constantly. I love chocolate & refuse to give it up. I had given it up in the past for my complexion & there was absolutely no difference whether I ate chocolate or not, even when I hadn't had any for over a year. But of course my husband insists if he eats ONE BITE of chocolate he will get a zit. Whatever!!!!!

Chocolate is my best friend. Well not too much. I have never broken out because of it, and it calms me down, plus it's mighty tasty.

My Dermatologist told me that it takes up to two weeks for a pimple to form.

So if you ate somethings yesterday and you have a break out today, this could mean one of two things:

A) You were going to have the breakout regardless of what you eat

B) You are having an allergic reaction to the chocolate or another ingredient within the chocolate.

no, I can't say that I've ever had a breakout from chocolate. I think your overall diet can have an impact though.
