These work wonders!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me I am black and have extremly dry skin that I am surprised that I don't have eczema

1. Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Creme

2. Avon's Moisture Therapy Intensive Care Lotion

Try these and I am so positive you will be happy with the results, oh and I use these both on my face as well before I apply any makeup.

One of the easiest remedies I would recommend for dry skin is definitely olive oil. If you are one who suffers from seasonal dry skin, using olive oil as a moisturizing substitute works wonders and you will notice results instantaneously. Not only is olive oil incredibly effective, it is relatively efficient.

A great product to add to your skin care routine in the winter is a product by Skin Ceuticals called Hydrating B-5 serum you can apply it under your moisturizer day and night to give a little extra boost of hydration to your skin, it works great I use it every winter when my skin starts feeling dry. And for an eye treatment you should try BioElements Multi-Task Eye Oil, it comes in a small bottle with a roller ball for an applicator so it's easy to just throw it in your bag and apply as much as you need throughout the day. I love it and can't live without it, it's an amazing little product!

Have you tried oils? At night you can use coconut or almond oil and calendula cream during the day! And it's all natural!

I'm a HUGE fan of coconut oil (unrefined and organic) on my body. Light, not too greasy, a superb moisturizer.

At night, I "deep condition" my face by using pure grapeseed oil as a moisturizer. It's natural anti-oxidants keep the face protected as well as fights the signs of aging. You know that they say that drinking a glass of wine is great for keeping yourself young on the inside?  Well the oil from the grapeseeds does the same for your face.

I've always been a fan of making my own skin care. And the recipes for dry skin are endless. Try taking a banana (the older the better!), and mashing it up into a paste. Add a few drops of heavy cream and a few drops of honey. Mix it all up, and use that to wash your face. Bananas are a great cleanser and are packed with natural moisturizers. Heavy cream is loaded with natural fat which won't just moisturize but soothe your skin if it is very irritated from being so drive. Finally the honey is nature's most amazing food, and is helps to lock in the moisture from the other foods. Plus it is a great exfoliant that helps gently remove dead skin cells without being abrasive.

Give these goodies a try!  Good luck!!

Mmmn Diva doll that sounds devine, those are my two favorite hand creams for the winter never thought of puttin git on my face though.

Smith`s rosebud salve is what I use for my nose or lips when they are chapped from winter weather or a bad cold!! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks, i didn't know what to think about these products.

Sana soy based products are also fantastic, i tried the face moisturizer and lotion and they work ! They're also made for sensitive skins, and i didn't have any bad reaction with those products.

Also, This winter (and last) my eyelids have been super dry, I was fine up until about a week ago and they have small dry skin patches on them, nothing too bad, but when I see it it bothers me, the drynesss is the worst when I wake up..

Can anyone recommend a good moisturing eye cream and also a good mositurizing skincare system
I have the same problem.  I am always on the look out for products to help.  The only process that has made a difference is doing a Lactic Acid Peel.  This process  has dramatically hydrated my skin.  Also use Lactic Acid Toner.  I never believed in toners before because they made my skin drier; but this one does the opposite.  Lactic Acid is the mildest of all peels and starting out at lowest strength is wise.  Just my 2 cents here  LOL

I agree, Clinique saved my skin!  Their 3 step cleansing system is really good and I went from super oily skin to having normal to slightly oily skin. But they can help with your dryness like they helped me with the oilies! lol  They also have many different moisturizing routines/lines.  Just have to either do your research on the products to see what would fit your needs the best, or go to a counter or even call them and talk to them about your needs.  If you want to call, calling Clinique.com is best to call, they are actually really trained on all the different products and seem to know and have more info regarding the products than the gals at the counters.  I hope that helps in some way. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Best wishes and Good Luck!

I love Clinique's Moisture Surge range of moisturisers. They work great and help to keep my skin moisturised even when I travel from a humid place in Asia to a place with a dry climate In America or France. It also doesn't break me out at all.

You can use the moisturiser at night as a replenishing mask by applying quite a bit all over your face. You'll find that you'll wake up to supple skin that looks refreshed and more awake!

I strongly recommend exfoliating at least once per week - something that is overlooked with dry skin conditions! For extremely dry skin, I suggest using a gentle mask exfoliant with lactic acid (a more gentle exfoliating AHA), which is also great for those with sensitive skin. By doing so, you are breaking the chemical bonds between the dead surface cells to those underneath, allowing for you to reveal the healthy skin underneath. Also, it's very important to apply moisturizer while your skin is still moist, to lock in hydration, and to read the ingredients label on your skin care products -stay away from any products that contain sulfates (sulfates have been know to cause dry skin conditions, or irritate dry and sensitive skin conditions).

Brittany58 you are  so right.  Nothing can penetrate to moisturize untill the skin is exfolliated.  Best way is to use chemical peels.  I use clay masks on my arms and legs then scrub them off in the shower.  While skin is damp I apply moisturize.  I am thinking about using chemical peels on the dryer parts of my body.
