Everytime i straighten my hair all these little strand of hair are falling out all over the place, more than the usualy amount from brushing. Is this because of the tension from the hair straightener pulling on my own hair? If so, does anyone have any products or tricks they use on straightening hair that sheds alot?

yeah my hair does the same thing because were actually burning it, and thats what falls off! i try straightening it only once in a while now.

Do you use a heat-protectant cream? (I like L'Oreal Hot Straight.) Honestly, I notice very few hairs falling out when I flat-iron, less than when I brush, so I'm not sure what's causing your problem.... Maybe you shouldn't squeeze the flatiron closed quite as hard? Or maybe use a lower heat setting to protect your hair? (I always use the lowest heat setting possible to get my hair straight!) Are you using a ceramic flatiron? I think those are better for your hair... That's all I can think of right now...
