I love the genuine authentic black soap from Ghana. It comes in a round ball and you can see the herbs and strings in it. It's also jet black in color. That stuff is awesome. It will definitely clear and clarify your skin. It tightens it as well. It is drying but I'd just apply moisturizer/ shea butter after using it.

I've heard of this. This really awesome store called LUSH carries it. They call it COALFACE. Not sure if this is what your talking about, but it's black.

i use it on my face it great for really cleansing ur skin youll have to use a moisturizer afterwards cause ur skin will be a little tight. it good and smells even better

I grabbed some Black soap from Walmart today! It has it's authentic but how do I know if it really is? It's black and has a Fruity smell. Is there any way to tell? Thanks for help!

Hi Regineleer, it tightens the skin because it's very astringint in nature. It deep cleanses, tones, and clarifies all in one. If you have enlarged pores or acne prone skin or sagging skin this is the stuff to use. I love using it on the breasts, rump, and tummy to keep things tight and taught. :add_wegbrech:

What you have is a commercialized version of the real thing. I can't comment on the particular brand that you have but I too have used the commercial versions with a bit of success. I will PM you a link as where you can purchase the genuine article online @ ebay.

I heard, use and sell black sopa and it's really effective. Only thing is it depends on what's the active ingredients of it. Try the Kojic Acid soap or Black Licorice soap. That's the best Lightening and whitening Product. Most African Americans are using this soap and I know someone that uses this to whiten or even out his skin tone on his knuckles and knees who is an African American.

Proper african black soap is different to the black coloured stuff (sold by lush). It's from ghana usually and made with shea butter and ashes from plantain amongst other stuff. It's usually a secret recipe.

Apparently very good for hair, skin and body - the oilier types. Dry skin it'd likely strip like paint stripper!!
