African American Health and Beauty Items -- Black Soap - Shea Butter

thats sounds great! i wonder if it will dry the skin since most products that prevent spots and zits are drying products. did anyone try any of these?

well i'm using it on my body so i'll let you know how it goes....used it in the shower just now and my skin feels CLEAN

Hi,

Yes, it's well known here in the black community. I've never used it though.

I visited that site, and all of it looks intersting! Might order black soap just to try it

I've used The Original on and off. It's so popular that street vendors sell it! It's great for skin irritations. The mass produced is not the same as the homemade Black Soap from Africa.

I currently use black soap on my body not face its great..It all natrual I get mine nasaab.com. I also use unrefine shea butter..

this sounds interesting i may look at this stuff some more, and possibly try it. i've been looking for a new soap/cleanser. i have really sensitive acne prone skin. my chest, neck, back and shoulders =/ maybe this could help

Yes, I've used many types of Black soap. I found oatmeal soaps just as effective too.

I use some of that Dodu Ohsun black soap..and I think it's from Ghana. I got it at the mall. I don't think it's for people with really dry, sensitive skin. Still, there are different kinds. There is one by Ambi that I liked. By the way, I have oily skin..sensitive..but my skin is tough..so the soap isn't too harsh for me.

i dont get it, it's a soap that is colored black right? okay what are the ingeridnts?

the first thing came on my mind when i read the topic was LUSH's black soap bad, cant remeber the exact name.. i heard this one works well too.

Another rec for black from nasabb.com. I use it on my body. I have tried it on my face but I found that it was drying. It says on the site that it helps with acne and scars but I haven't really found that to be true for me. It is just a good basic soap.
