I'm unable to commit to a shampoo, especially after Garnier 'length and strength' made my hair fall out (true story! Not clumps or anything, but I was losing a lot of hair in the shower...). Today, I bought some drugstore (Pantene?) moisturizing shampoo, but I noticed Biosilk also makes shampoo. Has anyone tried it?

Does it have the, um, pungent aroma of Biosilk silk therapy?

Finally, even though I haven't had a problem with the silk therapy, I have read about it destroying people's hair, so I use it very sparingly. Has anyone had any bad damage with the shampoo or conditioner?

Thanks!

Whoa, Silk Therapy destroyed people's hair?! Anyone else know anything about this? Sorry, I don't know anything about the shampoo/conditioner though, I would also like to know! Thanks for the thread!

Silk Therapy destroying peoples hair?! I've NEVER heard this....I work for a company which has distribution rights to Farouk (aka Biosilk/Chi) in Canada, and i have never heard anything but positive feedback!! I even add a few drops of silk therapy into hair colour when i'm doing clients, it adds an amazing shine!

Back to your question about their shampoo's/conditioners, all Biosilk products have the same scent, so if you dont like the scent of silk therapy, you wont like the shamp/cond. As far as results are concerned, I can't say that i'm a fan of them, I LOVE silk therapy, almost more then Cherry Bomb, but dont find the styling products/shamp/cond's to be all that fantastic.

Again, this is not my experience, but when I first heard of Biosilk, I googled it, and two of the reviews talked about how it totally destroyed girls' hair.

MAYBE they were doing something wrong or it was another product or a combination of things, but I've always been sort of cautious with the Biosilk because of those two reviews. I'll search again and link to them if I find them.

I am in love with Biosilks silk therapy! I use it relgiously.(I love the smell too!) I haven'y used their shampoos or conditioners before, but I would imagine they'd be good quality. It's trial and error with most products, you need to try it to see if you like it, and just because someone else hasn't liked the product, won't necessarily mean you hate it as well, you may end up loving it!
