waxing didn't work on my thick hair. shaving is what it is, something i had to do everyday, but with veet i have so little hair growth by the second day that i can get away with not shaving and not feel embarrassed to show off my legs. i bought a 6 pack for $36 on amazon, but in local stores they rarely reach below $10 per bottle.

Have you tried Surgi Wax Brazilian wax on your legs?  The stuff doesn't need fabric strips, it is awesome!  I've used this on my legs because the regular sugar wax does not work at all on my leg hairs.

I have always shaved since I tried veet at home on numerous occasions and it doesn't work well for me at all. I like the leave on cream but find it agony waiting that long to wash it off and then I have to shave to remove any strays where the cream smudged. I treated myself to a proffesional wax once and it was amazing, yes it hurt allot and I think i am and easy bleeder but the results lasted so long!! I would like to try the better quality waxes but am afraid I will be as disappointed as I was with the drugstore brands.

Sugar wax doesn't work on me either... I make better sugar wax than buying it at a store but still not good.

Epilation all the way! Professional waxing gave me ingrown hairs and was sooooo painful on the armpits and bikini, home waxing was not as effective due to awkward angles and my lack of skill, I have scars from shaving and hate stubble, creams are so messy and smelly. Epilation is cheap, fast, convenient, not painful because you can just treat the regrowth, whereas with waxing you want to wait for several weeks to elapse so you catch as much hair as possible.
