I can’t preach this often enough.
So for those who want ideas for New Year Resolutions, I put my 2-cents worth.
I call it Holistic Approach to Beauty and Health.
Yes, beauty is a virtuous cycle with health and vice versa and should be approached holistically.
And you can start this at the beginning of the year as an integral part of your New Year’s resolution.
First, living healthy.
Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, nuts and omega-rich fish (salmon, tuna, etc.) and less of fats, salt and sugar. Omega rich fish keeps you joints healthy and provides natural oil to your scalp and skin leading to shiny hair and supple skin.
Execise. Thirty minutes of brisk walking or slow (5 miles per hour) daily should do be sufficient. You will notice your skin will be clearer, supple, hydrated and pinkish because it is effectively de-tox with anti bacterial sweats.
Adopt a holistic beauty and anti-aging regimen. This is mine (with emphasis since this might not work or could only partly work on you and your skin condition) which, with small regrets I wish I started early on when I was in my 40s.
Step 1 – Exfoliation either with dermabrasion or in-home chemical peel. I started with strong 15% TCA from Perfect Image (I have the mention the brand since this is the one that works for me). When I first started, it was once a month but lately I was able to prolong the cycle with maintenance weak acid peel and Positively Flawless Serum in Aloe.
Step 2 – Nightly maintenance. Retouch with weak acid peel (Perfect Image has all the formulations from strong to weak) ONLY AS NEEDED which is, when I see fine creases starting to re-appear. Or, I use loofa (from Bed & Beyond), a natural dried Asian gourd, or cotton face towel with warm water and mild soap to vigorously rub my facial and neck skin as a form of daily supplemental exfoliation.
Step 3 – I pat dry my skin and apply Positively Flawless Serum which I leave overnight for optimal effect.
Try this and post your results.
