I know I should'nt start a new thread, but I did a search and was'nt sure which one to reply to. Anyway, I tried the aspirin mask and WOW it healed a zit that I have been fighting for 2 months. It just would not heal! I'm really impressed! I wish I would have found this forum years ago. Thank's guy's!!:clap

Check this out Allie...

2 tablets UNCOATED aspirin (500mg per tablet) <-- i use bayers tablets

few drops of the body shop tea tree freshener

mix together until u form a paste (the tablets will melt by lightly tapping the tablets after u add the freshener---- u need uncoated tablets.. if u buy the coated ones, u have to pound them)

apply on your whole face (except eye area) ... leave on for about 5 mins or so... then, wet your hands, and give your face a good rub (not too hard) .. the flakes from the tablets will exfoliate ur skin this way. after that, wash it all off....

remember to use toner and moisturizer after all this.

another recipe that might be worth trying.. coz yogurt helps to whiten skin and honey is a good natural moisturizer.

3 uncoated aspirin

plain organic yogurt

organic honey

just add everything together ... basically follow the above method.

**BUT MAKE SURE that you aren't allergic to Aspirin first! I am allergic to it so unfortunately I can play with the mask like you guys can... Grrr...

Thanks Leila-- so if the aspirin is uncoated then it will just dissolve? I dont have to grind it first? How often doyou guys do this mask?

I have only done it once, but I would imagine maybe twice a week. Correct me if i'm wrong though, because i'm really not sure.

i do this as well, discovered its magic last year, makes my skin soft, takes away the dead cells. I also add to my mask (freeman's avocado) sometimes and also crush a vitamin E and C and add too. Really recharges my skin. :icon_cool

sounds very interesting, i really should give it a try

thank u so much sweetie :icon_love

what effects does this have on the skin exactly? can you notice a big difference and if so in what? does it dry out the skin?

Your welcome guys! I just wish I could try it too!! I hate to be left out of the club...

Aspirin masks are supposed to be helpful for exfoliating the face and helping calm acne breakouts...

Im gona try this out guys....I've heard about it b4 never gave it a try. Can we use the powder type of asiprin or does it need to be tablets? Is there anything else besides those that we can add with it if I dont have them?

I just dissolve 4 tabs of Disprin with water and apply it to my face. My skin would be sooo smooth after that. :icon_love

Some of my friends add yogurt to it. Some also add some aloe vera gel.

I just apply a few drops of water. Enough to make the tabs dissolve and turn it into a paste-like consistency. Not too runny. HTHs! *smiles*

It should say it on the box. I use equate (walmart's brand) micro coated aspirin, mix it with a little water in an old pill bottle, and wait for it to dissolve. No pounding needed.

It can make you sneeze if you leave it on too long. I don't use it regularly, but it does make my skin appear smoother when I use it.

:clap GOODIE!!!! I knew I could count on you, you sweet thing! I kept hearing about all these people saying how they use an aspirin mask and I kept looking for the recipe and posted a couple of times but never found one! YAY, now I can try it. I STILL get bumps on my chin one week out of the month!!! NOT fair, but at least now I have something I can do for it! I read one girl say she made a homemade Vit C serum and I know a couple of girls posted to find out about that but to no avail. Might be interesting... I wonder if the molecules would be small enough for your skin to absorb?? I am going to check the health food store for maybe essential oils or liquid C or something and see if I can find something skin will absorb. If I do I will post and I KNOW you can use that because no one is allergic to Vit. C! So help is coming!! Thanks so much for the post!! I really appreciate it!:icon_love Chermarie

Whoever suggested the Baking soda facial is my idol!! I did this today and loved the results. Can't beat the price too! Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I LOVE the aspirin mask!! I started doing it when I realized Proactiv wasn't helping me. I do it a few times a week now. I just use 4-5 Aspirin (the kind I have is micro-coated which will dissolve in water after a few seconds), mix it with a few drops of water, apply it to my entire face and leave on for about 5 minutes before I rinse off. I LOVE it!! It blows Proactiv away!

I'll have to try that recipe Leila. That sounds great!!!
