Armpit problems

[TINY HINY]

okay so when i shave my armpits it shaves but it doesnt shave the hair completly, like it mainly just shortens the hairs and i use venus razors. and i make sure the razor isnt dull. also my armpits are pretty rough theres bumps and so i figures thats what the problem was but when they are soft and smooth it still doest shave! but i can never get it completly smooth i bought TEND SKIN from sephora but it really burns /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> so i dont like it. any suggestions? and nair and other products like that irritate my skin

p.s. i dont want to wax

i just wanna know if anyone has had those problems and what they did to solve it and i need it to be afforadable if its a product

I use a mens razor for my armpits because I read somewhere mens razors are suited for hair that grows in all directions (like women's armpit and private areas). It works well for me, just gotta be careful! I use a womens razor on my legs though.

I agree! I grab some of my dad's razors sometimes haha. They really help in those sensitive areas.

I use my dad's shaver to do below my arms.....my trick is to get the underarm as flat a surface as possible to get a smooth shave....to do this i simply point my hand straight up in the air then bend the elbow till the palm is touching the top to mid back....if needed..shift the elbow outward to get more taught skin.  This works like a charm.  I use babyoil after to prevent any itching or bumps.

You won't achieve a really smooth armpit by using razor though, they just cut everything on the surface but it grows back quickly. Do criss cross movements when you're shaving, it helps.

For the little bumps, i would suggest exfoliating, i totally forget that when i shave that part,but technically we should exfoliate before shaving any part of our body, it helps dealing and preventing with ingrown hairs.

I'm not sure.  Pursebuzz did a video of her using one and she claims they are amazing,  I want to get one and see for myself.  It DOES seem like it would hurt though lol

I just googled it, seems like they really don't hurt when using it on your underarms.  There may be some slight pain at first but it eventually goes away

my sister uses an epilator for her underarms, which the pain is the same as tweezing, but she said the entire armpit is DONE in 3 seconds so it makes it worth it, especially since you pull out the roots, so the hair doesn't grow back in as fast as when you shave, where you just cut the surface.

I used to get my underarms waxed from a salon which caused alot of irritation. I have been epilating them for a year now and I think it is the best hair removal method for this area. There is no more irritation. The first time I tried it was very painful. I have the Braun epilator that you can use wet in the shower. I epilate in the shower and the water on the skin makes it pain free.

What you can do is shave your underarm as usual and use the epilator every day after for a whole week and then use it every second day. My friend did it this way and she said it was not that painful as the hair was very short and by doing it this way she got used to it..

I've never even tried shaving. I tried the creams but hair grows back too quickly and it's just unpleasant to me. I've been using Veet wax strips for several years. And many years ago I had Nads. 5 seconds and your done! Plus my underarm hair is very sparse after so many years so it doesn't hurt anymore. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I don't like waxing my legs though, that hurts like hell lol.
