Help please. lol.

I'm dying to try the Clairol Nice N Easy shade 111, natural medium auburn. My natural haircolor is a medium golden-brown color, not very dark. Has anyone used this shade? Does anyone have pictures of the final results? (Which is what I'd really love to see...)

Any help is so appreciated!

Plus I blow-dry my bangs...this will affect how evenly the color distributes, right? So I figure I'd leave the dye on my bangs for a little less time.

I'm Janelle from NY. Nice to meet you!

I haven't tried that shade, but I'm sure if you're a med. brown, you'll definitely pick up some red tones in there. If you are doing an all-over color on your entire head, and your hair isn't previously colored, I would let the color process over all of your hair for the same amount of time. Blowdrying or styling usually doesn't alter color.

I still have that color under my bathroom sink but never used it. It's a beautiful color but red fades on me quickly.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm from CT.

I did do a temporary red but it just didn't come out red enough. I tried both Natural Instincts and Loreal semi-permanent in red...basically the same results with both though I liked the Loreal just a bit better...it seemed to come out more red but to fade a bit faster. I'm past the 28 washes point, but you can still see the red somewhat...I had thought the Natural Instincts had washed out, but then I saw pics of me that were taken out in the sun and, whoa, orange. *lol.* So anyway I'm going to wait until maybe mid september (last colored my hair mid june) to dye my hair again. I'm either going to go for the Nice N Easy shade, or for a Revlon shade (will post the number later...boyfriend is hogging the bathroom!).

I guess red fades fast on everyone.

But I love it. I dyed my hair perm. red a few years ago and loved it but can't for the life of me remember which dye I used!

Thanks for the blow-drying info...I was worried about that lol. Don't want it to come out all uneven when (if?) I take the dive.

Yeah I'll probably ask opinions before I go ahead and do it, so you'll get to see before and after.

Later maybe I'll post pics of me now and old pics from when my hair was red....

L'Oreal pro color in Mega Reds are pretty nice. Use a color protecting shampoo for red hair --- use warm water (not hot) when you wash, and finish off with a cool rinse. Also try to wear a hat if you plan on being in the sun a lot.
