hello im new here, can you tell me how to start my own post? and how do you respond to the person asking me ques?

I've tried and it it works WONDERS. I have very stubborn curly/frizzy hair and it made my hair bone straight with little effort.

Hey there! Welcome to MuT! I'm Janelle from NY... glad to have you! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My friend has the Maxiglide, and she likes it... she has it at her salon with her & will use it a lot on her clients. I think she paid around $80-90 for it (somewhere around there) There are a few threads on here about it... just click these links to view them...

I pm'ed you back.. sorry it's rather long.... I hope that I didn't confuse you more than you already are! :wassatt:

I luv the Maxiglide! My hair is very curly, like Sister Sister (the Mowry twins) plus some. And the Maxiglide gets my hair soft and smooth.

now do u have to use the products that specifically come with the maxiglide in order for the hair to get bone straight or can u use whatever products you want?

I have a Maxiglide and a CHI. The maxiglide definetly works. The only complaint I have with it is it can pull your hair. I have thick curly hair and to use the maxiglide I have to do very thin strands of hair at a time, but it does work. The CHI works good for me. It doesn't pull your hair and straightens it nicely also. The thing about the maxiglide is it has little combs on the plate that comb your hair while you straighten and that makes the hair come out really smooth, not just flat like other flat irons. I purchased my maxiglide through one of the tv shopping channels for about 80.00. I think they have a website to purchase also.

I have a Maxiglide and it truly works. I got it from Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% off coupon so it cost me around $65. You don't, of course, have to use the products that Maxius sells in order for the product to work. But I would reccomend using some sort of anti frizz product. And to make sure the Maxiglide doesn't pull my hair, I comb through each section thoroughly like the dvd says so that the teeth won't pull my hair. Another good thing about the Maxiglide is that it can straighten my hair on level 1. I like it so much more than the cheapie flat iron I had before!

Yeah! I bought mine less than a month ago and i think it is the best hair straightener so far. I have had a Rusk brand straightener that retails about 200 dollars and it took me twice aso long to do my hair with. I highly reccomend this.

Personally the MaxiGlide did nothing for me but fry my hair and pull my hair out in little clumps. I prefer the Sedu over the Maxi anyday. But the maxiglide might work on your hair.. Good luck with whatever straightner you choose...

I have GHD straighteners and have completely fallen in love with them...In fact I don't know what I'd do without them !!!! I think as long as you go ceramic I think you should be ok......
