Also I really wish I didnt have to use primer and makeup, but accutane messed up my pores. It like opened them and made them all huge

its gross and disgusts me, so primer and a thick creme is the only thing that makse them invisible....they arent completely but TONS better. I will never use anythingels unless there is some special powder out there that can make pores invisible. But I know what you mean... I am going to cut out the tea tree oil for sure. Also is the mint julep scrub the same as the mask?? Or are they 2 different products?? Thanks for the advice though

Scrub and Mask are different stuff:
Here's what the scrub does:

Deep cleans and gently exfoliates the dull surface layers of your skin.

A refreshing natural-fiber facial scrub that deep cleans your skin and leaves a pleasant, tingling mint glow! The gentle exfoliating action draws out impurities, unclogs pores and removes dead, dry cells from the surface of your skin. Natural emollients help replenish lost moisture, effectively protecting your skin from the harsh elements. The result is skin that looks fresh and healthy and feels refreshingly soft and smooth. can be used on all skin types. Apply daily, or as often as desired. Ideal for use in the shower, too!

Yeah, the mint julep scrub is different from the mint julep mask, or at least they're sold in different bottles! I use the scrub myself. The grains are really finely ground, but still very scrubby and exfoliating.

I washed with only water till I was in college, never used a thing on my face except cold cream to remove the purple eyeliner and green mascara...what can I say, it was the 80's

Never used foundation till I was 25 and got collared by an aggressive Prescriptives saleswoman with a British accent...I can NEVER resist a British accent...frankly, Prescriptives makes a great foundation but it made me look ten years older and I think it really wasn't very kind to my skin ! Now I am 39 and almost never use foundation but I use about 6 things on my skin just to keep it happy and clear. Good skin care beats foundation hands down

!

I get pimples occasionally ( funny, I NEVER had a single pimple as a teenager!) and find that tea tree oil is too harsh. I like Calendula ointment or gel. It is very gentle but effective. Works on my kids' bug bites and cuts and scratches too.

i say if u're using alot of products and its working 4 u then if it aint broke dnt fix it for me i found jus getting facials that include extractions and using a topical antibiotic kept my pimples in check. i dnt think i cud get away wit washing with jus water coz my T-zone area is oily

From my experience, tea trea oil can really be an irritant. I've had good results with Avon's Porefection series of products. Also shampoos and conditioners can get on your face when you shower. Avon't Porefection toner has salycilic acid and really helps remove anything oily you inadvertently get on your face.

Ye I changed my regimen a bit. Now I use that fancy exfoliator (that one by Roc) just twice a week though and it works great. I also use A toner now. And just use bpp on my forehead... No moisturizer either. Just the 2 cleasners, the exfoliant and toner... (and bp on my forehead) Then my makeup.

I personally hate using a lot of products; that's why I'm so in love with Philosophy. Right now, I'm using their cleanser, a moisturizer, an undereye cream, and a treatment for hyperpigmentation; once a week I do a facial. That's it!

For acne, have you tried Proactiv? I've never used it but people rave about it. Just a thought. In any case, good luck finding your perfect HG products!

I don't think that is alot. The problem I have is: When I use soooo many products, how do I now which ones are doing any good, or bad. So I try to use just a few at a time, measure the results. Then decide. I learned this lesson when trying different herbal remedies for physical ailments. Several years ago I realized the counter was packed with bottles and I had lost track of why I was taking all of it. Makeup and skin care is more fun.
