Antiseptic Tea Tree Oil has been used for centuries to treat and soothe skin conditions. Now, it's available in this natural, gentle soap. Great to use for skin irritations, fungus or itching, it may help eliminate odor-causing bacteria and leaves skin clean and fresh.
Pure Tea Tree Oil for therapeutic use is fresh medicinal aroma. It has the consistency of water and is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and twigs of the native Australian shrub.

What Are The Benefits? The Australian Aborigines were the first to unearth the benefits of Tea Tree long ago when they began to harvest the leaves for their medicinal use. Tea Tree oil products are now increasingly sought after as extensive scientific studies over recent years have shown it to be effective against bacterial, viral and fungal organisms whilst being a powerful immuno-stimulant, increasing the body's ability to fight off illness or infection. Oil is also a parasiticide and used by many as a flea, headlouse and insect repellent.

It can alleviate inflammation and may help wound healing by encouraging tissue regeneration.

In Australia, tea tree oil has been used by aboriginals for its antiseptic and bactericidal properties for thousands of years. Today, clinical trials have confirmed the efficacy of tea tree oil's anti-fungal, antiseptic, germicidal and anti-bacterial properties.

From the Myrtaceae family, tea tree oil (or melaleuca alternifolia) was originally given its name by famous British explorer Captain Cook in 1770. He brewed tea tree oil from leaves to give to his men, in order to prevent scurvy.

The antiseptic qualities of tea tree oil lends itself very well to uses in disinfectants and natural cleaners or soaps like our tea tree oil soap.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that coconut oil is bad if it's not processed in a certain way and that it's much cheaper to process it the bad way so most cosmetic companies do it that way and that it actually causes skin to dry out. I did go out and get a jug of the cooking coconut oil after reading all the good stuff about it, I use it as a deep conditioner now and then....can't remember now how it was processed.

Thank you so much for the useful information

I dunno about the soap here but I once got a coconut one and it smelled really good but did nothing.

I have some coconut shampoo and shower gel from The Body Shop I like. Thanks for the info.

I believe that coconut oil is used in soaps mainly because it creates alot of lather - it can, from what i have read, actually be drying to the skin when used alone so it is usually used along with other more emollient oils.
