Okay, I just wanted to do a final update on my brows! They're finally about where I want them to be, so it's just basic upkeep now. However, they're still sparse in some areas, but the brow products help with that. The best part is, they're basically in a uniform shape and they're no longer pencil thin! How proud of me are you?! Anyway! Here's a recent pic I took this morning, as well as pics from the last update I did. I'm thinking they look good! It's not actually so much drawing my brows anymore than it's actually filling them in and making them darker (which I've gotten MUCH, MUCH better at)!!! Right?! Yay! Sorry, I'm just SO proud of them now *lmao*

Hersh, I didn't make a deal with the devil! How could I since he last went to GA, and I'm now in NY?! *lmao* Sorry, had to get my Charlie Daniels Band out there *lmao*

Well, the whole story begins on a sad, sad day when I posted an FOTD *lmao* I was told my brows would look better thicker, and I'd been thinking the same myself... So, I decided to let my severely overplucked brows grow out.

I bought some stencils, brow powder and a brow pencil. No wax... I used the stencil to let the inner part of the brows begin taking shape, and just filled them in from there. I was using the MK Lip Outliner Pencil as a "wax" since it almost has that consistency. But in a recent swap with Ashley, I was able to get Physicians Formula Wonder Brow in Dark Brown (I haven't been able to find it here yet).

So, I only pluck what needs to be plucked... The scragglies throughout, and leave them alone outside of that. I use the Wonder Brow (pigmented automatic wax stick) to go over the brows, and then use Ardell Brow Powder in Mink Brown to finish them off. I tell you, the Wonder Brow has made a BIG difference! Oh, and I use an angled eyeliner brush for the powder *lol* I start with the outer part, and work my way along the brow, then I fill in the rest... I basically outline it first... I don't use strokes either. I get some powder on the brush, and then almost "dot" the powder lightly across the wax. Works like a charm so far! I tell you, I'm loving my brows now! First time in YEARS too!!!

Yeppers! I'm happy! The coloring always ends up off in my pics... They look brown, or in this case, taupe... They look better IRL; more of a match to my hair!

BTW, Ashley, your brows are great! They do not suck!

::: Off-Topic ::: That's funny this just made post #3456 *lmao*

I may have to look for that stuff. My eyebrows stink. They are bushy and like 5 million times darker than my hair (really looked terrific when my hair was naturally super blonde, lol). I pluck them, but they just are sparse and sometimes I get the perfect shape, but then I cant get it to look like that again. I am scared of waxing, b/c last time I did it, some lady almost waxed all the hairs off, I cried when I got home.

Yippie! your eyebrows look awesome!!

you do such an awesome job filling them in though!! even when they were thin
smile.gif
i wouldn't have noticed sparseness in your FOTDs until you said something about them..

Your brows look great now, Aquilah! I've to have my brows filled in all the time cuz they are too short. I wish I'd have the same length as yours.

Actually, my brows are longer hairs, but I use a trimmer to shorten them. It makes it easier for me to apply the wax and powder. Not to mention, I have such unruly brows! They're curly, so there's no set direction, even with wax or gel!

o .. i see a HUGE improvement!!

: u know that thread u started about special talents ... 1 of yours that i greatly admire and want is your "brow-drawing" talent. Very uniform and even

yea for u

Good job!! I used to overpluck them too when I was a teenager, as a result now, I have a little "hole" lol in the middle of my brow

I'm going to have to look for that brow filler you use, it's a perfect color for brows!
