How do you like it?

Any thoughts, tips, suggestions, etc.

I am planning to get mine done in May or June. My friend has her's done & you can't even tell, the lady she goes to is amazing. My friend has her eyeliner done too, but I don't want that, eyeliner is too much fun for me, LOL!

it may sound stupid, but...this is the first time i hear about tatooed eyebrows.:hide:

i guess it can be convenient, you don't have to worry about tweezing or filling in your eyebrows, or even draw them for those who love wax. but i don't know, it seems weird for me.:kopfkratz:

actually it's really popular in China and I know a lot of people who does that. They actually wax only certain parts of it and tattooed not all, but parts of the brown, mostly the end part of it so when you trim/wax it, it have a shape so you know where you need to shave/trim/wax the hair i guess is what I am trying to say. Personally I prefer my own brow shape and does the ocassional trimming of stray hair and don't want anything permanent on my body, but I do know a lot of ppl who has done it, so if you feel comfortable with it, go ahead. However, remember that it's permanent and might not be able to undone in the future when you get sick of the color/style. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I am not a fan of cosmetic tattooing, so much can go wrong. I mean sure I have tattoos, but is tattooing you lash line or eyebrows necessary?

On What Not To Wear (US version) there was one lady who'd had gotten tattooed eyeliner, and Carmondy basically had to minimize the severeness of it by trying to disguise it with brown liner. In the end it didn't help much.

I also have a friend whose mother got her lips tattooed and she is unhappy with result and now she always wears lipstick in order to mask the job.

So I wouldn't suggest it.

my mommy has tattooed lipliner (very light- to just just enhance the outline), top lid eyeliner (extremely tightlined- to give the look of fuller eyelashes), and yes, eyebrows. she has them in a dark taupy color. her natural eyebrows just naturally got thinner, and she retired to the phillipines and the humidity and heat make filling your eyebrows a nightmare.

she went with a bunch of girlfriends to this amazing resort in thailand where they got facelifts and she got permanent makeup.

I think my mom looks great. and incredibly natural. htat being said- i've seen some serious ghetto jobs. anyone can do cosmetic tattooing- no license required. just be sure to do some really really good research.

wow....i would love to see a pick!!

I work with a woman who just got her eyebrows done and it looks fantastic!!!! She is also a light skin black woman and me being a realy pale white woman....don't think it would look so natural on me as it does her

what if u get gray hair

your eyebrows would be like black and ur hair would be like really white.

OR

what if you wanted to change your hair after a few years to blonde hair but you got really really dark eyebrows!!

My friend got hers done and it looks very good on her. She's Korean and she chose a dark, slate grey colour. I don't know if her choice would look good on the next person though.

Eeek wouldn't getting your eyeliner tattooed on hurt?? I can't handle anyone touching my face let alone my eye!

I agree with what everyone's posted - do your research and the key is for it to look natural-ish. DO you just wax your eyebrow hair off after when it grows back? Does that take some of the tattoo with it? Lol I don't know.

this fastinates me.

the girl from the dresden dolls (a band) did weird designs on her eyebrows and it looked crazy. im gonna try to find pics..although no ones talking about doing weird designs. i think it looks bad on her but yet so fastinating

Well my friend who has it done (& it's so good you can't even tell she has it done) is very fair skinned & blonde.

I am definitely going to her lady. My eyebrows are currently non-existant & I am no good at drawing them on nicely, so I want to do it & not have to worry about it anymore. I went with my friend to get a touch-up & her lady penciled in on me how she would do it & it looked sooo great. She only did one so I could compare it with my current brow. What a difference is all I can say!! I can't wait to get it done!

you're making me want it..my eyebrows suck. i hate coloring them in

im pretty much dying to see them..hurry up and do it! :roflmao:

You need to posts of it when your done. Id love to see how they look. Ive thought about it but I dont think Id get it done.

I know two ladies who have had it done. One was never had any eyebrows and the other was in an accident where her eyebrows never grew back. It looks excellent on both of them. I know for both of them they were a little paranoid before when they would draw on their eyebrows because of the possibility of it to smear. They both said it was the best decision they ever made.

I wouldn't get tattooed eyebrows if you actually have eyebrows. BUT if you happen to not have eyebrows, I would seriously consider it.

a woman who works at the beauty supply place near me has her eyebrows done and to be honest it looks AWFUL!!! it had the potential to look good, but they are very thin and pointy looking. although i am sure it works for some, i would be too scared to get it done.

While I can't speak with everyone, but my eyebrows are greying right along with my hair. (I'm sure that the squirrel is next) :scared:

As far as your eyebrows being black and your hair being grey/white I just have a sneaking suspicion that anyone that is going to go to the time and money to have eyebrows tattooed on cares enough to dye their hair. Oh and not everyone with grey hair is old.

A friend of mine had her brows & liner done by this company in Toronto:Permanent Makeup Toronto- Feathering Touch

The liner on my friend's upper lids look very natural and subtle, I was quite surprised. I think you can go as dramatic or subtle as you prefer. If you have non existent lashes this would be an option. I for one, also prefer doing my own liner and my lashes are pretty decent. Plus, i can only imagine the pain. *ouch*

As for my friend's brows, they look good-- on her. They aren't drawn/tatooed in one consecutive arch.. it looked like the "artist" drew a bunch of tiny lines to mimic the look of natural brow hair.

I think she spent about $300-400 for both procedures.

After seeing my friend's brows and the "after" photos on this site, If anything, I would probably only *consider* getting the ends of my brows done (the tail) since I have short'ish brows. My only concerns are the fading or the tatoo artist screwing up on my face...
