Who has bleached their teeth here?

I came to think about this since I would LOVE to get my teeth bleached (they are not that dark but I am still a bit self conscious about them!) but I have a crown in my front that would obviously always stay the same color. not a good look LOL

it´s interesting, from reading some posts on here it seems like so much more people in the US have used either whitening strips/tooth pastes or had their teeth professionally bleached compared to European countries. I am scared when I move to the US everybody will stare at me cause my teeth are not white like snow LOL.

I think once I have lots of money (which will probably be in the very far away future) I will get all white veneers or something in the front. I had braces so my teeth are straight, but it sucks so much that I will never be able to get my teeth bleached because of my crown

not everyone in north america has glow in the dark teeth!!! from allyour pics that I have seen I think your teeth are fine!!! is your cown in the front the implant? and is it completed?

there are things called www.lumineers.com which are veneers that can go over top of your crown to make it whiter!!

btw..........I have bleached my teeth with the take home trays!!

well yeah my teeth aren´t dark yellow or something, but there are definitely people with whiter teeth. Yup the crown is on the implant on my front tooth. It will be finished on monday. I´m wearing it right now, but it´s only temporarily glued in cause they have to fix a tiny gap in between my 1st and 2nd tooth. then on monday I will be DONE, thank god.
ah cool there are special veneers for crowns...I had no idea. Thanks for posting about this! I guess I´ll get one of those one day and have the rest of my teeth bleached

so the crown in your mouth now is the permanent crown only glue with temp (is this what you me?) too bad you didn't think about bleaching before cause you could have made the crown a bit lighter.

just outta couriostiy......is your crown all porcelain or does it have metal on the inside of it?

yeah it´s the permanent one temporarily glued in, I got it put in on friday (will be permanently glued in on monday). yeah well I couldn´t afford bleaching right now anyway (and my parents would for sure not pay for something so "unnecessary" after spending around $3200 for my implant.I think the crown is all porcelaine, it´s attached to a "peak abartment" or however it´s called, which is screawed onto the implant.

I'm glad it's all porcelain!! I figured it would be.....it's the standard nowadays....the ones with the metal inside do not look "real". you know, if you do decide to whiten your teeth down the road you may be able to get away with the crown not being too dark......b/c if your teeth are fairly light now it won't change a huge amount

I've never bleached my teeth, but I wouldn't mind it. I would love to have veneers!

I actually was in the same situation as you

When I was little I broke off half of my front tooth lol And the crown wasnt a noticeable different color but it bothered me. I also had a gap between my front two teeth that I wanted fixed lol So I got my top four front teeth fitted with veneers. I LOVE them

It cost me about 4k so the doctor gave me professional whitening for free. It was called Zoom and omggg it worked so great. Didnt make my teeth sensitive or anything! The only sucky part was I had to eat/drink WHITE stuff only haha

yeah I broked off half of my front tooth too when I was 13. the root was dead and they just stuck a plastic bottom half on it. The upper part turned grey and that looked horrible. I got my crown when I was 16 and it was poor material so I turned my gums above the crown darker. Now with the implant and the new, much better crown my gums have lightened up already.

Advice to everybody: don´t trip over any stairs and knock your teeth out, it causes too much trouble to get them fixed LOL
