Which color should I dye my hair?

Hello!  I'm new to the boards, so if this is in the wrong place I apologize!!  

I have a hair appointment in two weeks.  I want to do something different with my hair, but I'm pretty happy with the length of it right now.  So I'd like to dye it.  I would really like to try blonde but I'm not sure if it will suit me.

Is this a terrible idea?  Any other suggestions??

I suggest instead of dyeing your hair with chemical products, you can use the Goop hair that you can use to add highlights or colored hair to your head.
