I know everyone's always saying to NEVER brush wet hair, to comb it .. Recently, i started combing mine. But, what's the difference between brushing and combing when its wet?

The bristles will pull/break your hair, whereas the wide-tooth comb will not. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Or, not as much, depending on how tangled your hair gets after it's wet.

When the hair is wet its not as strong. if you are going to comb it, use a wide tooth comb.

I've always used a brush and I haven't noticed major hair breakage or anything... is it really that bad?

i use a shower comb in the shower, i have naturally curly hair, so if i brush my hair dry its like major poofiness.

I've always used a brush and never had any problems. I think it really depends on how gentle or rough you are with brushing/combing when it's wet. I've seen some people with wet hair go to town impatiently combing through their wet hair and it most definitely gets damaged. You just gotta go slow with whatever you use.

maybe this explaing why my hair is taking so long to grow out....i have this thing about me where like i haaaave to comb it when it's wet....maybe i'll take a little reak from doing this so often...

I used to brush my hair as soon as i got out of the shower and i never realize i was doing any damage to it .. until a friend told me not to ... and now my hair's healthier .. and it actually grows :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well, I treat my hair pretty bad. I like to brush my hair when its wet, because then i can dry it and get a lot less knots in it!
