I'm going on a short trip next week. I was just wondering what stuff should I bring along...before joining MUT, I didn't have a proper skin care regime, but now I do. I have cleansers, moisturizers, peels, masks, etc...I can't bring everything under my sink...so what would you bring for a one week trip?

Anything you use to clean your face, tone, moisturiser if it's a daily regimen you should take it with you. A mask that is not everyday I think could wait. Makeup that you will use during the week. Just sit down and think of everything you will need like ok this is what I will use day1, day2, day3 etc. and just have everything planned.

Definately a good MU remover & cleanser, a toner & if you break out, a product with salicylic acid would be good. That's all that's really necessary IMO

Definitely cleansing milk and eye makeup remover(if it was a trip I would wear makeup on) and if not only gel cleanser then my toner, sunscreen and night cream.

Where are you going and what will you be doing? And what does your skin NEED on a daily basis? Eg, if you're not prone to acne except on rare occasion, why bother packing it?

I never had a real skin care regime until this year, but even so, I would ALWAYS pack spf 45, a bottle of moisturizer, and hair conditioner. I'm an outdoor enthusiast ... my occupation and the activities I enjoy tend to be near salt water, hence those 3 items were always with me. I never cared about what moisturizer then, just that it was a nice one and felt good. While I don't have dry skin (it's normal), salt air and water can wreak havoc on skin.

Now, since my enlightenment on real skin care this year, I pack toner, a moisturizer with vit C and E, another moisturizer that is creamy and contains mango butter and rosehip oil, and facial cleanser with 2% salicylic acid ... and sunblock.

As I learn and experiment more, I'm sure the individual products will change, but there will always be a low-level AHA/BHA in toner or cleanser, one or two moisturizers with the ingredients in them which I feel are beneficial to "my" skin and "my" skin care goals. Oh, and a high SPF sunblock of course.

Have fun wherever you're going!

Like Naturally said, just the basics..cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and an acne spot treatment/special product (if you need it). Sunscreen and some kind of lip moisturizer or chapstick would be nice to have on hand. Masks and scrubs etc. can wait until you return home. Enjoy your vacation hun!

I would suggest getting some make-up wipes... they don't take a lot of room and you will make sure that you remove all of your make-up. I recommend MAC wipes or Oil of Olay ones.

I'm going on a trip this week (brother's wedding) and though it's not a week, I'm taking what I normally take.

My daily regimen of cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, the makeup I'll be wearing (some that are neutral to go with anything and the items for the wedding day), and my day and night regimen for facial breakouts.

Hope this helps.

Hm, I do bring my entire skincare regimin, minus the mask I use once a week -- two acne medications, a moisturizer, a cleanser, and a Buf Puf sponge. Oh, and I guess I've been using an eye cream lately too, but that's a tiny bottle that doesn't take up any room!

Are you trying to pack really light or do you really have that many products? I usually hear that using too many products is just as bad as not using enough..... just something to think about ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i bring whatever i use on a daily basis. moisturizers, cleansers, etc... i also bring like a limited amout of mu too.

since it's a short trip, bring a cleanser (could even be facials cloths), moisturizer (for face and eye, if you use), and maybe a spot treatment in case you get a zit! do a mask (if you use that, too) before you leave so you're all set!

for a week trip .. i would only take with me my cleaner milk.... eye make-up remover and a mask for my acne ....

For some reason, I don't wear much makeup when I'm a trip...except when I go to places like Las Vegas where you will look out of place without makeup. So I guess I won't need a makeup remover.

I am going to the Smoky Moutains for this trip, and I expect to be doing a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, etc. And I am going to be driving there...its a 10hr drive. So I will need my sunscreen. Other than that, I will bring my cleanser and moisturizer. I will do a mask right before leaving so that I don't have to bring that along. Might throw in some of those facial wipes just in case. Thanks girls!

Cetaphil soap (for face)

Facial moisturizer

Toner

Sunscreen

Johnson's Baby Oil (removes eye makeup)

I also take unscented body moisturizer (if I'm going to a tropical area, I don't bring scented products because the mosquitos attack me)

Hi, I would most definitely bring a hydrating mask! Not moisturizing, but hydrating! Sometimes just change in weather will shrivel you up like a prune. Especially if it is cold or dry. When I go to Vegas I always have to have a hydrating mask. Maybe bring a little sample packet of something along. If you don't have one, stop at a counter and see if some sweet SA will give you one!
