Hehehe! It looks like it is supposed to be an acronym like that, but "CHI" is actually a brand name of a very high quality flat iron. It has ceramic plates that use the power of ionic charge to smooth the hair. It really does stand out amongst all the other flat irons.

Another good brand to look at is SEDU. That is my personal favorite.

yes, very expensive....my brother went to see the View the other day and they gave these away....do you know what that jack@$$ did???? He gave it away. He said some little old lady didnt get one who was in the audience so he gave it to her. He felt bad for her. Everyone in the audience got one but her supposedly. She probably scammed him for it...sucker. I was so pissed!! I asked him did he know that was an expensive straightner but he had no idea. I then asked him what a little old lady needs a straightner for, it's gonna outlast her....im going to hell:sleepyhead:

chi is one of the best brands you can buy its the only thing that works on my thick frizzy hair it depends on what model you buy but ive seen them from 80-to almost 200

Chi's are expensive, but definately worth your money. If you are interested in getting one, look on ebay. You can buy brand new ones for cheaper prices.

You ain't kiddin....i could kill him....lol. At least he brought me home Sean Jean Sunglasses

I had a CHI flat iron and the switch broke ten months later. I've switched to FHI for both a 2 1/2 and 1 1/2" flat iron. I LOVE them. My CHI never got hot enough for my hair and it didn't have an adjustable temp control (unless you pay a small fortune). My FHI is adjustable up to 450 deg and it was half the cost.

BTW, Chi is made by Farouk and also carries a line of hair products. If you have frizzy or curly hair you want to straighten, you definitely want Chi Silk Infusion. It is the HG of products for naturally curly hair.

Isnt CHI the stuff you spray in your hair before straightening it so it wont frizz as much due to humidity and whatever else the world throws at your hair?

I got my Chi iron for $90 + free shipping from folica.com last year. They don't have the greatest customer service, but for that price I'll cut them some slack. My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner.

CHI....

Ceramic Hair Iron

Works better than any thing else i have ever used... pricey though

CHI does make some hair care products, but they started out with their flat iron, I think.

I got mine at a discount from my salon. I don't know if most salons will do this or not, but I've been seeing the same girl for years and she called their supplier and got one for me at their cost. Even so I still paid like $80 for it. It's worth it though.
