I sometimes dip them in hot water and clean them, occasionally I also add some foot gel in the water. I have heard people put flower petals in hot water for fragrance. What do you do?

Nothing works for my feet, they are horrible! I just attack them with the pumice stone every time i'm in the shower and rub them with moisturiser each night before i go to bed. I get a good pedicure every couple of months as well.

Well, i'm such a stickler for soft, smooth and clean feet. Over the years I've tried so many different tricks/tips to get my feet to stay smooth and pretty all year round and I finally have a regimen that works!

I usually scrub my feet with the pumice foot stone either every other night or every two nights. After I finish using the pumice stone, I put on either cocoa butter cream or vaseline (whichever I reach for first) and sleep with socks. If I'm having a rough day, I usually spritz on some cooling foot spray which helps relax my feet and also keep them nice and fresh.

Now for during the day, when I get up in the morning my feet are usually smooth, but I like to give them a light brush with my foot brush while in the shower (yes with soap/bath gel w/e). I then lotion my feet with a peppermint/eucplyptus or spearmint foot lotion and wala! Nice feet!

But other than that I do my own pedicures where I like to soak my feet and the whole nine yards, lol. Once every two months I make it a priority to go to a professional and get myself treated to a pedicure.

here i come ladies !! two weeks ago i woke up and discovered the reason why my left heel was hurting so much is because the dry skin had cracked.

so i did some research to get rid of those dry cracked feet and found a simple care regimen that has good results so far.

i use two to three items : a foot file, a pumice stone, and oil.

for the foot file, i dip my feet in hot water and wait about 30 minutes before i use the file. this works great, but if you have a good amount of dry skin, you might have to do it two or three times to get rid of all of it.

for the pumice stone, i finally found the right way of using it. the feet should be dry, and the stone should be wet (i use warm water). it also works great and i use it more often than the file.

then i apply some oil, either coconut or macadamia, and then i put on some socks. i prefer those oils as they're really nourishing and quickly absorbed by the skin so you don't ski in your bathroom

i also keep a tube of vaseline in a drawer, always useful (i keep it for the cracked skin).

every morning, after i got out of the shower, i apply oil on my body, from head to toe, and for 5 minutes spent on applying oil on my feet, i gain at least 30 minutes spent in the bathroom.

im really picky about my feet being soft.

so like my version of rough feet is different than someone else's version of rough feet.

-everytime i shower i use a pumice stone one them, then when i get out i smoother them in vasaline.

-during the day i put a thick foot cream on them.

-once a week i do a footbath, with a mask, peppermint soak, and all that.

I use scrub made of sugar and oil every 4th day... I use many creams or a dutch uierzalf

I use a pumice in the shower as necessary and always slather on vaseline, at night I put on socks when I go to bed.

can anyone recommend a HEAVY foot creme? This time of year I need something heavy duty or my feet can get really dry

I just wash them with shower gel and then use a body butter. If your feet are really dry, put a plastic bag inside your socks first and then put your socks on. The bag won't let any moisturizer sink into your socks. I wouldn't recommend doing it for overnight because your circulation could get cut off a bit.

i recomend either good old vasaline or burts bees coconut foot cream.

Thanks I've seen the Burts Bees Coconut one- I think I'll give it a whirl

I use a stone too and everytime i get out the shower, I put a thick layer of lotion on my feet and then put socks over.

Has anyone tried the ped-egg?

I get a pedicure twice a month. I stand on my feet all day so they take a beating... I love how my feet feel after a pedi!

^ What is ped-egg?

Thanks for the replies guys. I was hoping to get a foot cream myself. Thanks Retro-Violet for your suggestions.

And yes pedicure works wonders for me too! You can also use a mixture of some foot soak, bleach, and foot cream and massage yourself. Clean and file your nails regularly.

This is a pedegg...

I also saw them demo this on HSN... looked like it worked well.

Oh and I forgot.. I also have one of the hand wax dipping warmer thingies LOL... wow I'm so good at explaing things... anyway.. it came with mittens for you hands and some for your feet.. about once a month, or when I remember I plug that thing in and do my hands and feet.. feels awesome!

I use Barfoot brand stuff - the scrub and then the cream. It always does me good.

My favorite is the Peppermint Plumb!

I take a bath then remove the dead skin on the heel with one of those foot files....then I use a good foot lotion-right now it's L'occitane's lavendar foot lotion (I think that's the name too lazy to go look).... anyway, then I put on a pair of cotton socks so I'll wake up with smooth feet

L'occitane is kinda pricey but it's really good!
