I got sunburnt at the weekend and Im still abit red and started peeling and going flakey, Ive tried aftersun and even dermalogica aftersun. but my face only on one side is flakey, It looks like dry skin but I know its cause of the sun, Its mainly round my forehead and nose but have some flakey patches on my cheek and chin. I use oil control lotion but if its flakey shouldnt I use something with moisture in? Any tips to solve this? Maybe a facial sauna or face mask or something?

Thanks for any advice! Im seeing my other half tonight since I got burnt and dont want my face peeling off!

The tonic that you are using is probably drying your skin out where it got the worst of the sunburn. To get rid of the flaking and if your sunburn is healed, cleansing beads used gently will help remove the flaking skin. Then a light moisturizer used for your skin type should help. Products will aloe vera in it is very soothing for your skin

How about an after sun care lotion or cream. I think Clinique has some good ones.

correction...i meant Clarins.

The MUT Market Place have companies that advertise their products there and you might want to check them out, contact them, tell them what you did and what type of skin you have and see what they suggest

LRP Anthelios, pricey but worth it, it's a great aftersun and it's absorbed quickly by the skin (and doesn't grease your face). i'd also try aloe vera products, and use a water spray as a toner. if you can get your hands on it, Biafine is a cheap cream that works great for sunburns, to the point there's always some at home.

i agree your lotion is probably not helping your skin right now.

You can try yoghurt as a natural product, it hydrates and nourishes your skin very well. You can also try vitamin C and E. Try also thermal water, it soothes your skin. And AHA products are also very good, they exfoliate gently your skin, resolve dry skin conditions and makes your skin glowy. The most efficient are: glicolyc acid and lactic acid.

I wish you would of taken a picture of it showing your flaking area. Use nothing harsh on your face until your sunburn is healed. Please stay out of the sun if you can.
