Have you tried using a hair serum?

Once your hair is dry and styled, smoosh a drop of serum between palms.

Run your hands through and on top, of your hair. Comb through if you want to.

This will instantly add shine to your hair.

The key word is "drop".

John Frieda's is popular. I use Got2b.

There are dozens on the market to choose from, at various costs.

Serums are a good way of getting shiny hair, yes. I have a serum for dry hair from Ducray, nice stuff, smells good, sunscreen included, and smooth, nourished hair.

To me a shiny hair is a healthy one, which means i take care of my hair, not overly oily roots, nourished lengths (especially if you have long hair, long dry hair looks awful!). You can finish rinsing your hair with cold water, and use a conditioner, it sounds basic but it helps making your lengths look more polished and shiny. Invest in a brush with natural bristles, it's softer on the hair and a gentle hairbrushing also adds shine.

olive oil just a little bit though

Hair serums are good to add shine, you can also use hair shine sprays. My favourite products to add shine are Biosilk and MOP Glisten Shine Spray.

i agree with Bec688

Biosilk has a shampoo, conditioner and this serum thing called silk treatment.

It's specifically designed to make your hair more shiny and adds silk.

I used this before and it really works.

I think you can buy it at like target or Kmart.

Hope this helps<3

Is the Biosilk silk therapy good for shiny hair? I'm debating whether to get it. I found a large bottle for 20.00 bucks over here.

Silicones for instant shine. Serums have a lot of silicones in them.

Honey deep treatment, add some coconut oil to it, too. Honey makes my hair soo soft. And it's easy to wash out with a conditioner.

Coconut oil, just a little bit of it, can also give you shine.

My tip is, moisture moisture moisture. Moisturizing is the ultimate way to get shiny hair. And use a gentle shampoo so it won't rip off your moisture too much.
