What are your opinions on natural beauty and enhancing beauty? What's too much fakery

? Obivously all of us on here are into makeup, but what about other ways of enhancing what we have to work with? Some girls, even if naturally pretty, like fake everything from tattoo eyebrows to fake breasts, noses and so on, in order to become what's perfection in their minds. I know someone who says things like lipliner and color contacts are stupid, yet she'll rave about girls who use these very tools and are not half as attractive without them. What do you all think? As with a lot of things in life, I say everything in moderation.

I agree - moderation is key. I live by the "less is more" approach. I believe makeup should be used to accentuate what we already have, rather than to cover-up. Teenage girls are the worst with caking on all this product and the result is that they've lost themselves under all the product and you can't see how gorgeous they already are! 

I think appreciating yourself is necessary. Makeup is fun and it should be used as such. A fun way to spruce ourselves up, give ourselves that extra kick of confidence and accentuate the beauty we already have.

I like campy things, so so long as the person is not flagrant and declasse, or hypocritical about what they're doing, I can appreciate it. If you're going to do it, own it! If you like tattoo'ed brows, rock them. I think if a person does such things and seems unsure of themselves or insecure, people will notice the fakeness all the more than if they just did and felt comfortable with it. I have no idea if that makes a whole lot of sense, but... yeah. At the same token, there are some limits. Not all of us are in a rock band (sadly) so it might be best to keep the glittery, Clockwork Orange lashes for a Rock Band party, as opposed to trying to pull 'em off at a 9-5.
