Thanks for the warm welcome, Naturally!!
And while I know that there is not one Magic Product for everyone, let me be the first to say that I tried (like I'm sure everyone has) everything under the sun. From expensive Salon Facials, to NuSkin, to Jafra, to over-the-counter high-end, low-end you name it, Estee Lauder, you name it, Mary Kay, etc.
At age 40 I decided to make a radical decision that worked for me. I honestly am not shilling for this company as I am neither a rep for them nor do I have anything to gain from promoting them. This thread just asked for our advice and experience, and that's what I wanted to share.
The "radical" decision I made was to try a product line that had as few chemicals in it as possible. This isn't as easy as it sounds. Although in past years I had integrated a few Rachel Perry/Annemarie Bölind/ Dr. Hauscka like products into my department/drug store regime, I had to face the facts.
I was not happy with the way my skin looked/felt after paying a lot of money. It was always blotchy or something. Hypo_allergenic did not cut it."Alcohol Free" did not cut it.
Oh, and my head would always itch after awhile and have small scabs.
Was I using Prell? Something cheap? No. I was using brand like Joico, Goldwell, Bumble and Bumble, all high-end salon stuff.
After doing tons, tons and tons more of research.. I finally found a brand/company that works for me. Mind, you, it may not work for you, but after 8 months of use I have no more itchies, no wrinkles, etc.
And ta da...the Company...is..... Aubrey Organics of Florida, USA.
NOW WAIT!!!!! Before you say...I don't know...that sounds awfully Granola Girl to me.....
Do Yourself a Favor and at least visit their website......
www.aubrey-organics.com. It has fascinating info on all of the truly toxic c**p that is in our shampoos, skincare, and cosmetics. Also go to the user reviews to see what people are saying about the stuff.I
t's a pretty honest website.
You can also get their line at most large Health Food Stores, but go to their website first as the girl in the Health Food Store tried to steer me toward some other "organic" stuff that was loaded with alcohol and other nasties.
The Good News...very moderately priced. It takes some getting used to..I had to try 2 different shampoos before I finally got the "right" one, but fortunately they also make some sample sizes so you can try them out.
As I said, I'm not into endorsing something unless it really works.
You guys gotta try Aubrey Organics!!!
Stay Cool! Elisabeth
P.S. As I said in the other thread, I go between California Usa and Switzerland...I know..Sweeeeet..but somebody has to do it!
