i have fine, thin hair so..blah. i really like the matrix amplify line, but it's a little expensive for me to use regularly. are there any alternatives? what are your favorite products to pump up the volume?

I love BigSexyHair... but it's pretty much in the higher end price range. I've heard good reviews on the Loreal Vive pro lines that just came out... I think there is one for volume. I also would suggest a good volumizing mousse, and dry your hair upside down a bit before styling. Drying the root in the opposite direction will give you more lift.

I haven't found any volumizing products - even the high-end ones - that really work all that well. My best tip is to use a really big round brush and avoid heavy conditioners. I also like Aveda Phomolient, which is a volumizing foam. Not sure it does TOO much, but it smells really good lol.

I second the BigSexyHair mousse. Of all the ones I have tried, this one does the most volumizing (which isn't that much, but better than others).

I wish I didn't have natural volume... I'll send my volume over to you Kristen! I prefer my hair flat... Sad, isn't it? Good luck finding something sweetie!
