I was looking on TBS for an SPF moisturizer, and I couldnt decide if I should take the vitamine C or the grapeseed. My question is..Would it be possible to mix these two and apply?

Or should I just use one on one day, and the other the next day? Or stick with only one..

Im a newb to all this skincare/make up and so on, but I thought it would be good to build up a good skincare first before anything else.

Ideally, you'd pick one and use it over a longer period of time to see how effective it is in whatever it's supposed to do (other than protect from the sun). If there's no real difference between what the vit C and grapeseed claim to do, then go ahead and mix if you want.

i think you should alternate. use grapeseed in the morning and VC in the night. i dont know if i am sure but i think Vit.C makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. So start out with the milder one first..which is the grapeseed.

You can email the companies about their products.

Ask them if their products can safely be combined with other products and not lose effectiveness.

Companies field questions like this all the time. Their staff will know the answer(s)

you are looking for.

I would say Vitamin C. It helps revitalize your skin by helping ease the effects of sunlight. As far as increasing exposure from the sun I would have to disagree. I could be wrong but from what I have read online it can only help.

Thanks for the replies. I think Ill email them and see if I can get some more information about the products.

Im thinking grapeseed right now, I think it was also good for dry/sensitive skin just like I have.

I think it depends on what you want it to do. Vitamin C is for brightening and evening out skin tone. Grapeseed is for more combo skin, I think. Let us know if they respond and what they say.

There isn't any problem using them together at all. They have very different purposes. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, above anything else and it yields great results. Grapeseed oil is a moisturizer. You have two choices, really. You can use a C serum in the am (which is when it's is most effective since it counterattacks the effect of free radicals...) and then apply your moisturizer of choice - grapeseed oil if you wish - over it. You can also use the moisturizer at night, although you need only apply your Vit C product ONCE per day.

Alternatively, you can kill two birds with one stone by using one of the new products that contains oil soluble vit C in addition to the traditional L-ascorbic acid that we find in serums like Skinceutical, etc. I've been using the Vitamin C creme from xxxxspamxxx and I have to say the stuff is AWESOME. I'm a long time user of C serums and I'd never give up a vit C product. I tried this stuff cause I was tiered of layering and wanted to make my routine more efficient AND because it has THREE different forms of Vit C. I've been using it for over a month and my skin really looks fantastic! I'm normally a PITA when it comes to products, but I have no reservations about giving this one 5 stars. The price is reasonable too. I'm becoming a big fan of their products. They all seem to have a pretty high concentration of active ingredients...
