For those who don't really care about how it all started, my question is this: what stores/etailers sell a violet scent that you are crazy for and would "highly" recommend?

This all started when I ordered daddyo shampoo and gratuitous violets soap from LUSH. Then an evil enabling GF of mine (but I love her) told me that IOE's Violet Frosted Blue Cake and S&L's Violet Clouds & Violet Cupcake were "must try" scents.

I haven't tried any violet scents or anything else. I'll take a look into this

now youre the evil one telling me about it!! now i must investigate

I am not the biggest fan of the florals..I am more of the fruits and vanilla

...but I think V.S. has something that is violet-like...maybe I am mistaken lol!!

What is IOE? And what does a violet smell like? I mean, the actual flower never really smelled like anything to me...

ditto!

Sorry Ladies! IOE = Isle of Eden

I've traditionally never been a huge fan of florals, but find that there are some that I really enjoy now, like:

orange blossom

lily of the valley

violet

rose

gardenia

As you already know, I am currently on a violet kick. Some scents that people seem to be raving about are the three I mentioned already, plus one called Fluffy Violet Clouds (made by MMU). I don't know what MMU stands for. I am asking on another board right now - will post back.

ETA: A fragrance listed as "just in" is Violet Kissed Chiffon Cake.

MMU - Online international bath & body and Makeup boutique

Ok, so I have since found 2 more violet scents: one is Violets are Blue (on the MMU site), and the other one is on a site called Eclectic Lady & it is just called "Violet."

In all fairness, I did warn you ladies in the "Title" that I am obsessed.

Well I did a search on Sephora and found that violet was in one of my everyday scents called Lolita Lempicka: Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka at Sephora

My new favorite scent is "Baby Grace" by Philosophy and it smells JUST like some violet perfume I had when I was a teenager. LOVE it! So soft and feminine.

I'm pretty sure some of the etailers duped this (can't wear alcohol-based perfumes anymore

). If one of them did, I can get it in a perfumed oil.

Ok, during the recent months, I've tried a violet scent here, a violet scent there. Well, I made a "sample" order from TPS (http://www.tickledpinkscentsations.com) & the woman who runs it knew I was on a violet kick, and sent me an extra sample-sized soap of just her "Violet" scent. I had only ordered the other violet scents that had other notes in them to sample.

Well, this soap is one of the most lovely (if not the most lovely) violet scent I've smelled to date. Her soap feels so gentle, too, but still lathers well. She also offers a s&c that I could get the Violet scent in.

Anyway, this particular violet smells like it has been naturally sweetened by nature. I am at a loss as to how to describe a violet note itself.

Sooo... once I am down in stock on my B&B stuff, I will be stocking up on some soap, s&c, and perfumed oil in this Violet scent!!!
