Uneven self tan?

i just applied self tanner.. i'm getting a bit pasty .. so i exfoliated and used Sublime Bronze Lotion for fair-medium skin tones.. but, i always get an uneven tan .. how do i fix this? i have a winter formal coming up next week and i want to have a nice glow

keep adding more lotion should even out. I havent had to much bad luck in this only once in a while is it off, but I add more which helps. Some people use gloves to help smooth it on. Also make sure you really wash your hands well if you dont use gloves. Also dont put to much in places like knees elbows etc.

use more lotion on the lighter spots. if it fades a couple days before the formal just use a tanning bed for a very little while.

I have no idea if this would work, but maybe you could try applying one of those skin illuminators like Jergens healthy glow and that would even things out. It's not quite a self-tanner, so instead of intensifying what you already have, it may just fill in the lighter spots and not darken the dark spots much more.
