I've had this problem all of my life. My skin, especially my legs, is very dry and nothing ever seems to help to keep my skin moisterized longer for 30 minutes. I've tried so many brands of lotions, creams, bath treatments with no luck. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, what helps relieve the problem?

I suffer from dry skin in the winter, so I feel your pain. I would suggest exfoliating your legs while in the shower, and apply this product shortly after drying off:

This stuff is the ish, you can find it down the baby aisle at walmart, walgreens, target, etc. Because it's a baby oil product, it's very greasy, so use it at night, and sleep with jogging pants and socks on. In the morning, I think you'll be very impressed. It's very thick and will stick to ya, not light like lotions or creams. You can use it whenever, but keep in mind that it may get on some of your clothes and your clothes may stick to you.

I m gonna have to try that. I also suffer of dry skin. Even though my face is oily I get dry patches once in a while. My legs are embarrassing if I forget to put lotion.

I forgot to say, I am currently using the Aveeno line, I love it. It's a little thick but I would like to try something lighter like this baby oil.

i used to have a very dry skin

and i use Aveeno fragrance free lotion. since i never had any dry skin problem.

im working in a tattoo shop and a new tattoo is really really dry and the best lotion for it is Aveeno and Curel *if its work for tattoo its work for any part because your skin isnt dry as a fresh tattoo*

since few week i dont have any Aveeno home and i use Avon Body lotion Olive. it smell nice and its really good too.

I, too, have extremely dry skin and recently switched to Curel. I'm pretty sure it is my new HG, *LOVE* it! I've used Continuous Comfort and Ultra Healing, they are both wonderful.

You can also try Eucerin, I use this and is the onlt cream that keeps my body itch free.

Aveeno products have always worked for me and their nongreasy. My dermatologist recommended them when I was a teen. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The thing is you must use the bath/bodywash line and the lotion. Stops the itching with collidal otameal immediately! Not expensive, always on sale. Stay away from products with sodium laureth sulfate, this is a cheap detergent. Dove products are also a good choice, they contain no soap.

Hm... i`ve read that if your skin is dry and you put lotion on than it actually doesn`t matter, cuz most lotion has water in it and because of that your skin will stay dry. And also putting something on with mineral oil etc. will make your skin dry, cuz the mineral oil won`t give your skin a chance to create it`s own oil. So i think you have to look for something that will hydrate, but without things that will actually dry your skin out if you won`t put anything on!

Oh try if you want to drink herbal tea`s that has hydrating effects. I had read that chamomille and peppermint tea are good for hydrating from inside! And also take enough omega 3 fattys (sp). HTH :icon_smil
