#1- I have a conair facial "spa". Its just a steamer, with a facial shield. Anyone use these type of thing, or have any opinions?

#2- I have been using a microderm abrasion system for about two months. Its been helping, but I was thinking about trying somthing else. What I have right now it more or less a exfoliating scrub, and my skin handles it well. What would be the next step to try? I have redness and scaring im trying to fade.

I do steam my face from time to time but using the good ole pot over the stove type of thing.

a mild chemical peel would probably work well for you. start with a lactic acid peel as those are less likely to cause irritation.

I find exfoliating with a facial brush (softer bristles) every few days helps speed up scar recovery and reduce redness because the skin is renewing itself faster than usual. Be careful not to overdo it though! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I use epidermx which I love. What really helped fade my scars was using both epidermx and silkia camiella oil. I use the camiella oil twice a day and it works great. The epidermx I use about 2-3 times a week.

1. i have a similiar steamer from homedics and i love it.

2. it seems that a scrub might increase the reddness. have you seen a dermatologist?
