The twistbandâ„¢ Hair Tie has been sent out many times in Birchbox. I know that I've received at least two different versions since 2011 and while I like the Twistband know I'll never shell out $10 for 6 or $18 for 12.

What do you think of the twistbandâ„¢ Hair Tie? Have you bought these through Birchbox or through twistbandâ„¢ own website or have you made your own?

I've bought a couple, I really like them. They really dont seem to rip my hair out anywhere as bad as regular hair bands do. I will state though, I didnt pay full price for mine. I've always used promos/coupons

Having only received in my BB or through trades, I love these! I hate the dents regular elastics put in my hair. Just remember to seal your edges, because these will fray! Would I pay that much? Nope, not since learning how cheap and easy they are to make. Time to find some black and nude elastic and DIY. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I think these are definitely not worth it. It's a piece of elastic. Also, while I like that it doesn't dent hair as bad, I feel like it looks really ugly in hair with the little knot sticking out.

On another note, one of my TB is all stretched out from using it for like, a week....I was really disappointed :

I agree with MissLinda. Never buying more after seeing how cheap they are to make.

I bought a 3 month sub to the twistband club with a promo.

They're great, i think. They don't hurt my wrist and they're soft.

I actually like the way the little knot looks when your hair is up.

If they stretch out all you have to do is hand wash them and they should shrink up again.

However, I don't like that the Twistband brand doesn't seal their edges. I got another brands version (Alex & Isabelle) from a sneakpeeq sale and their edges were finished and tapered better than I could do.

I got 1 in my August or September Birchbox. It left a big dent because I put my hair up when it was wet. It does leave a small dent when it's dry, but not bad. Why do they not heat seal them? I, too, have made my own and I am planning to add them to my shop this week.
