Turning curly to wavy can it be done?

Hi, I have curly hair and I was wondering what type of method or gel can i use to make my curly hair less curly and more wavy. Can it be done? I though of maybe buying a straightening gel and putting it in my hair instead of a curling gel. What do you think? HELP!

Yeah - putting it back in a bun can help... also using heavy conditioners and frequent combing. If you dry it, run your fingers through it and pull the curls down as you dry, instead of sctunching them upwards /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
