hi ladies.. i've been wondering for some time, what is the best thing to do for a pimple overnight? i've tried alot and it seems the more i do, the more aggrivated ( and alot of times the BIGGER ) it is in the morning when i wake up. what can u put on a pimple overnight that's gentle enough to actually soothe the area? or should you just leave it alone ( put nothing on it ) ??

I've heard a whole lot of buzz lately regarding the Fresh Umbrain Clay Treatment Bar. The only product I use from Fresh is the Soy Formula f21c Face Cleanser/Makeup Remover, so I have no idea about the bar. Yet.

Depending upon the spot in question, I'll either apply a small amount of Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel or Cortaid with a sterile cotton swab. I recently tried using the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I applied it to two different spots about 10 minutes before entering the shower. One was practically gone by the time I got out. The other was highly annoyed.

The best one that really works for me is Mario Badescu drying lotion. In the morning the pimple looks so much better and sometimes it's all gone. This has been my stable for years now.

And if you go to the Mario Badescu website and fill out a profile (free) they send you a bunch of samples. I got a sample of this drying lotion. Haven't used it yet but I intend to when I get a zit!! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

(bring on the zit!!)

Do you have to get this from their website or can you order it from somewhere?

I like using Mario Badescu's Drying Cream, followed by the drying lotion. Both work great and I always see a huge difference in my pimples overnight. The mixture is really thick, so it will last you awhile. All of Mario's products are all natural..I just love them! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> You can go to their website and take the skin test, and they'll send you samples (mine lasted a week, and i still have the drying cream) and a order book with all of their products. That way you can order my mail, phone, or online..and they also send you a little customized pamphlet with the products they reccomend.

You could also try using a clay based mask, and leaving it on the pimple overnight. I also am a fan of Mint Julips!

Wow, I have never heard of Mario Badescu before, looks like this is one I should be checking out

I very rarely get a pimple, like once a year maybe, but I do look out for things because a g/f of mine gets them around "that time" of the month. Recently I read somewhere to dab the pimple with stick deodorant before retiring and it would be gone by morning.

Bye bye blemsih, it's a lot like MB's drying cream but a lot cheaper. it's pretty much a sulfer solution, but it's honestly shrunk down HUGE pimples of mine overnight, and gotten rid of smaller ones completely. it's about $10, you can buy it at any drugstore.

so i just tried Bobbi Browns overnight acne paste stuff for the 1st time last night and i can say i saw a diffrence on my face this morning. i'm gonna use it for the rest of the week and see then if i can decided if its worth buying again.

I use Clearasil's Benzoyl Peroxide Cream in the daytime and Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask overnight. The other day, I used Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay as a mask on my fiance and when we washed it off, his face was much clearer and the pimple looked better. I think the clay drew out the impurities from his face. Hope this helps.:icon_smil

Dry up whiteheads and surfaced pimples overnight with this effective, fast-acting potion. A few drops of our world-famous Drying Lotion before bed will heal unsightly pimples, and soothe acne-erupted skin. Will not irritate or dry surrounding areas.

Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Water (Aqua), Calamine, Camphor, Colloidal Sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Glycerine, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc.

Ok, I was wrong about it being all natural, but it doesn't contain that many chemicals. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I got this straight from the site.

thanks for the link! i think i'm going to try this out since it's getting so many recommendations and great reviews.

I agree. The ACV treatment followed by an application of ground aspirin(salycilic acid) does a great job! Another old home remedy is toothpaste. Keep a tube of an inexpensive offbrand, something from the $ store will do. Simply apply to the zit heavily before going to bed, or leave on for at least an hour.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't ever find specific products for whiteheads..most are targeted for 'blackheads' or 'blemishes', so I like how it points that out in the description.
