We’ve pulled together the skincare secrets every girl needs to know if she wants to look glowing and gorgeous…

Tip 1:
</STRONG /> Drink plenty of water. Drinking water keeps your skin hydrated, as well as flushing out toxins and giving you a healthy glow.

Tip 2: We all know exercise is great for weight loss and toning up, but did you know it’s also good for your skin? Exercising increases your circulation which delivers nutrients to your skin. It also means you’ll sleep better, which gives the skin the chance to rejuvenate.

Tip 3: Wear moisturiser. Every day! And make sure you get one with an SPF of at least 15 (you can’t go wrong

with Johnson’s Daily Moisturiser with SPF15). You’d be surprised at how much sun your face gets, even when it’s overcast. So avoid those wrinkles later in life and moisturise everyday.

Tip 4: Don’t smoke! Apart from it being incredibly unattractive, it impairs your circulation dramatically. And considering skin needs circulation to look glowing and radiant, it’s little wonder that smokers’ skin is often dull and grey.

Tip 5: Always wear sunblock. We’re loving Piz Buin One

Day Long Sunscreen. And don’t bake your skin in the sun. While it might seem sexy to have a tanned body now, it won’t be that sexy to have a wrinkled one later on! As well as aging, the threat of skin cancer should be enough to make you slather on the sunblock and whip on a hat.

Tip 6: Get lots of sleep; at least seven to eight hours a night. As well as giving your skin time to rejuvenate, not getting enough sleep will give you those dark circles and bags under your eyes!

Tip 7: Eating well has an effect on your skin. Remember the saying ‘you are what you eat’? Well, by having a balanced diet, you’ll get your share of good food for healthy skin and a glowing complexion. Some particularly good foods are blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and plums; beneficial for healthy skin because of their high antioxidant content.

Tip 8: Keep makeup and applicators clean, and replace these often. Sponges and brushes should be washed regularly as they harbour lots of dirt and bacteria which you don’t want to be passing on to your skin.

Tip 9: Exfoliating is essential if you want your skin to look healthy and radiant. Regular exfoliation stimulates your skin, allowing oxygen to come of the surface and helps by speeding up the process of invigoration and rejuvenation. We love Johnson’s Exfoliating Facial Wash.

Tip 10: Always remove your makeup before you go to bed. I don’t care how tired you are or how late it is. Your skin’s not going to be healthy if it’s not clean. But be careful not to overdo it as excessive cleansing can take away the essential surface oils in the outer layers of the skin.

Good tips! I'm guilty of going to bed with makeup on sometimes though. Thanks for posting Michal!

Thanks for posting this article. I have to be better about cleaning my brushes more often and drinking plenty of water every day, not most days.

I really need to start drinking more water and working out. I didn't realize how important they were for the skin. Thanks for the article.

Thank you michal. I do most of these and my skin still sucks. I guess I have to try harder.
